I actually wonder if you even read the Word of God for yourself, or just mimic the preachers who deny judgment for sin?

As has been said, not just by my wife, not just by HBSMN, but by me and other God fearing pastors who preach the truth. DRUNKARDS WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD!

Are you denying that one who dies of acute ethanol toxicity is a drunkard? Are you denying the clear Word of God that no drunkard will inherit the Kingdom of God?

Man, you are blinder than I am.

Neither will the proud, so you and Charlie can bunk together.

I am saved because of my faith. That is why the Lord uses me to do His works.

If I trust alone in the Blood of Christ then I do not need works to be saved.

Yes, the error is adding works to salvation and saying that we do the works as opposed to God doing them useing us.

A person that is saved, even if he gets drunk is still not a drunkard.
He is a misguided child of God...

And aren't we taking the whole passage out of context anyway? I mean the context of that part of Revelation is how Great Heaven is going to be...

Of course there will not be any drukards, murderers, or liars there...
But of course there will not be any preachers there either... we won't need one... because there will not be any sinners there... we will all be in our glorified body, completely sanctified...

To claim that you must be perfect base on how you live your life in order to enter Heaven is a works based religion. Period.
Our only perfection is the blood of Jesus that has covered us.

He may have gotten there by the skin of his teeth, and may have lost every reward he would have had, but If he has been saved, he is still a child of God.

Remember Jesus said that the ones that comes to Him, he will IN NO WISE, cast out.

NOthing can separate us from the love of God, not even alcohol.

Unless you think that alcohol is stronger than the blood of my Savior.

Now having said that... if a person can rebel, rebel, and rebel, and never shows any works, I would doubt that person was saved...

Fish don't walk on dry land.
Cows don't Bark.
Dogs don't meow.
And Christians don't stay away from Christ.

That is the new nature in us....
But that does not mean we must be perfect, or we are all going to Hell.

If a person asks God to save them, based on what Jesus did at Calvary, at that point they are declared righteous. A judicial act of God that cannot be reversed.

So, if they died drunk, they are still going to Heaven.
I wouldn't want to be in their shoes... but then again, I really don't want to be in my shoes either... none of us, not even you "perfect' ones will be able to look God in the eye, come judgement day.

Does that answer the question SFIC.
Now... you be man enough to answer my question,

If someone dies with unconfessed sin in their life, will they go to Hell.

.................

Bob.

I was talking to tim, DeeJay, and anyone else who twists the Word of God into a lie and places a drunkard or murderer in that city of God where nothing defiling is supposed to be found.

Like I said earlier, of course there are no drunks there, or murderers...

Or preachers....

It is a perfect place.
But you do not know a man's heart. Only God does, and may I remind you that Satan got thrown out of Heaven for wanting to play God?

If I had known the man, I may view it the same way as you... but in reality, do you really know your pastor is saved?

No... you cannot see their heart.

You know what... You all can have your works based thread. I need to sleep anyway.

De Jay,

I really dont think that you were quite humble enough here..

When you say:

"The Lord does good works thru me I do nothing on my own."

If you were TRULY humble than you would have to say this:

"The Lord does good works through me, in whom alone is my life, my being, my all in all, and I do nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing on my own"

...otheriwse I detect a wee bit of pride still in what you had said.

..and we of course wouldnt want that.

Hey Tim;
I went through Big Ugly, WV again yesterday and thought about the visiting preacher who said " its good to see all you Big Ugly people today". :)

One with that much alcohol in their bloodstream and brain does not even know who God is, tim. I am sorry you doubt God's Word.

He says we can know the tree by the fruit, but thatt's ok...

You go ahead and call sin acceptance. I will continue to preach the truth and hope I can at least turn one drunk from the bottle to the well.

I tried to sleep, but was awakened by a bad dream...
NO where did I ever say we should accept sin.
I am saying we should not be trying to play God.
Only God know our hearts...

That area is not up to us to judge.
That is all I am saying...

And the Word of God has judged my wife's late husband as a drunkard who held onto the bottle all the way up to death as being lost. Even though he made a profession of faith more than 20 years ago, he could not give up his love for that which eventually killed him.

He was Baptized, went to church (one that fed his lust for alcohol by serving real wine at communion), and none of that did any good.

You can say the profession was enough, and baptism and church attendance proved he was saved, but God's Word shows that many will put on righteous airs and be as lost as a cat dropped on a deserted road.
I tried to sleep, but was awakened by a bad dream...

Convictions?

Nah.. I dreamed I saw an obituary of a friend of mine...
A very righteous woman... so I had to email her to see if things were ok.

Anyway, I'll agree to a certain point that you can tell by the fruits, but ultimately, noone really knows....
Only God. And if you say you truly know, you are playing God, and that ain't good...

I can't imagine making a judgement statement after someone died...
I have suspicions, but that is all.
Only God know whether that person was saved.
SFIC, do you believe in OSAS? I thought you did, but you have confused me lately... Now I wonder what you really believe.

I am going to try to go back to sleep.
good night.
