A new poll from Georgetown University spells trouble for the future of our nation.

According to the survey, the majority of Americans believe we're about two-thirds of the way towards a civil war. When asked to rank political division on a scale of 0 to 100, where '0' is there is no political division in the country and where '100' is political division on the edge of a civil war, most Americans rank our country around 67.

“The majority of Americans believe that we are two-thirds of the way to being on the edge of civil war. That to me is a very pessimistic place,” Mo Elleithee, the executive director of Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Service, told the Washington Examiner.

Political division is tearing our country apart. The poll also found that a full 77 percent of Americans agree with the statement, "The political, racial, and class divisions in this country are getting worse and our national dialogue is breaking down."

Falwell: Let's Secede from Virginia
[West Virginia] Gov. Jim Justice and the Rev. Jerry Falwell Jr....held a press conference Tuesday at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College in Martinsburg.
[They called] for Virginia counties to leave the Commonwealth and join the Mountain State....Justice pointed to two resolutions working their way through the West Virginia Legislature
State Sen. Charles Trump, R-Morgan County, introduced Senate Concurrent Resolution 2 on Jan. 10 requesting citizens of Frederick County, Va., consider joining West Virginia.
In a U.S. Supreme Court decision in 1870 that affirmed West Virginia’s existence as a state, the invitation to Frederick County to join West Virginia was ruled as still valid.
Gary Howell, R-Mineral, introduced....House Concurrent Resolution 8...with 42 co-sponsors. HCR 8 invites any Virginia county to join West Virginia....Howell, speaking Tuesday after Justice’s press conference, said people in Fluvanna and Greene counties are considering petitioning their county government to put the option to leave on a ballot.

IMO Civil War II technically began June 16, 2015 when Trump announced his candidacy for the POTUS.

it seems that what is causing this to come to a head is that the groups who loved to be under the umbrella of protection afforded them under president Obama is now getting exposed to the light, and darkness hates that!
It really is a battle between the Kingdom of god and of Satan!

Now if we could only allow secession for what might now be considered "legitimate" political reasons....

Hopefully such will not occur till after the rapture, BUT, the other side should think very carefully (possible??)!
Read somewhere that our side has 150 million bullets, & the other side don't know which bathroom to use.
Civil war should be at the very bottom of their priority list!!!;);)

I highly doubt civil war. I don't doubt military coup. From Republic to Empire. Old white men with pop guns are no match for the US military.

Civil War is already happening. the factional boundaries of Christ vs antichrist intersect all others
e.g. do you support the murder of the unborn? the butchered babies litter the battlefield.

That's not civil war. That's disagreement on policies. At present we aren't even at the level of 1968 and the anti-Vietnam protesting. Civil War is when brother kills brother on a national scale for a cause. We aren't there. We don't have States opposing States. What we presently have is peasants arguing with peasants in isolated skirmishes.
The military will step in and squash such rebellion if necessary.

Particular bro, You are stuck in OLDTHINK. Christ vs. antichrist - the end is upon us - the cry will soon go out - choose ye this day whom ye will serve. each nation will choose - sheep or goat.

Hank, you are likely a pre-trib rapture person. I am not.
Second, you take Joshua out of context.
Third, you take Matthew 25 out of context.
Essentially, you are botching scripture to support your presupposition.

Well, when we that believe the pretrib rapture are indeed raptured, you are welcome to stay behind, seeing as you don't believe. Enjoy.

My King has me in his hands either way. Our brothers in persecuted areas around the world already know tribulation. They are the voice of the martyrs. If God calls me to die for the faith, may I persevere to the end.

It's not Christ like to call your fellow Americans peasants. You have a distinctly repugnant tone of elitism. Almost every post you make is declarative. It is clear that you sorely lack humility. Even you, are just a sinner saved by grace at best.

We are all peasants, unless we make up the 1% who are elites and run the government.

I, like all humans, am by nature, prideful. I don't deny it. God have mercy on me. Indeed, I am a rebel sinner whom God has graciously chosen to redeem, despite having no reason to do so.

I stand by my statement that we are peasants who would be massacred by the military, which is controlled by the elite. We are their pawns in their chess match.

Thankfully, however, my citizenship is in heaven in the Kingdom of God. I live here as an exile who will one-day go home.

Civil war would be a most undesireable thing, but given how corrupt the electoral process has become with illegal aliens and dead people voting in our elections, ballot box stuffing, convenient voting machine failures, voter ID laws struck down, and on and on it goes, how much longer is society supposed to remain complacent and trusting in a failing system? And, lets not forget those wonderful judges who legislate from the bench. I would rather see the electoral process fixed, corrupt judges impeached, and the swamp drained before taking up arms against the government. Maybe, I am just dreaming though.
