i doubt this poll is scientific.

 

I would pray that God would take us safely through a Hillary Clinton presidency. I think simply having her as president would be tough enough by itself.

Not wanting to mix in with USA politics, but I saw Mrs. Clinton in Watertown, NY when she was running for office and a lot of people in New York liked her.

PS. Because a person claims to be a Christian doesn't guarantee they will be a credible representative.

 

Living in the NY metro area, I understand why they like her and why there is credibility to the claim that she would run for president. NY and NJ both are as liberal as they come. They use their bottom end for brains out here. This population cannot think for themselves. They are too stiffnecked and highminded to admit it. What they prefer is someone that will do everything for them because they won't do it for themselves. Since the day I moved here I have seen how this area does not have the freedoms that the rest of the union has. They have been living in such a suppressed state that they wouldn't know freedom if it looked them in the face.

 

She will not run in 2004.

Her chances may be better in 08, but then again, a run in 04 may not be a bad idea for her.

If it's between her and W, she'll likely get my vote. If a good Libertarian candidate comes along, though . . . . *sigh* 10 more years, Kelly, 10 more years.

 

If Hillary gets elected the voters are getting what they deserve.

Even so, Lord Jesus come quickly.

Have you ever read any of my political posts?

I'll recap - I'm fiscally conservative and socially liberal, a supporter of less government intervention in all citizen affairs, and tend to vote for Democrats over Republicans because I value social liberty over money.

Now, some would argue that financial freedom is social freedom, but I disagree, based on our current system. Financial freedom means nothing if you cannot conduct your life as you choose, and in this country, with many of our current theocratic laws, that's not possible.

So, until a good libertarian comes along who will support both fiscal and social liberty, I will likely continue to vote for Democrats, since their party more accurately reflects my political values.

But again, that's likely. I always look at candidates, it's just that, historically, the Democratic candidate has been one I can in good conscience support.

Call me an idiot if you feel that's appropriate(Pastor Bob), but I make no apologies for my political views.

At least, no more than any of you apologize for yours.

All that poll shows is that the Dem's don't have any viable candidates.

It'll never happen for a couple of reasons.

The first is that, America simply will not elect a woman as president at this time or at any time in the next few years.

Two: What would she run on?

Three: All the Republicans would have to do is to remind voters of what went on during the eight years of her "co-presidency" (the attempted takeover of 1/5 of the federal budget, and of her overtures to Mrs Arafat, etc).

She ran and won as a carpetbagger in New York because the region is tilted to the left but, mostly, because the Republicans weren't committed to winning.

Also, I heard somone on the radio today mention the idea that Hillary could run and choose Bill Clinton as her running mate and then when elected, she could resign and Bill Clinton could be president again. The reasoning goes that the Constitution only places a limit on the number of years that one can be elected to the presidency. It places no limits on how many years one can serve as president. I have read the amendment in the Constitution and that appears to be correct reasoning - unfortunately.

I was in Florida when Bill Clinton was elected 1st time. every one I was introduced to said he would/should lose! Maybe I was not introduced to a truly representative group!

How representative are you? I have no political axe to grind on this, but just wandered.....

Surely you realize what I posted was in jest. You should know by my track record here on the BB that I would not resort to calling anyone an idiot.

I find it hard to believe that anyone who understands biblical principles could support someone who is so blatantly opposed to anything remotely related to Christianity. But, I also realize that men much better than me have given their life so that we might retain the freedom to choose whomever we desire.

I may not agree but I fully support your right to your opinion.

 

Do you actually believe that the Democrats are giving this country more liberty? People that live in sin are slaves to those sins.

 

Like the "Webmaster," I feel she won't run in 2004 because it's hard to unseat an incumbent president. I do believe she will run in 2008 and that's okay - she'll lose to Elizabeth Dole, a fine woman.
