Here are a few questions to see how well we are up on our current events.


1. Which country provides the main base for U.S. warships in the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean?

2. Which country is the largest servicer of our Naval vessels anywhere in the world outside the U.S.?

3. Which country is it that not only manages these ports but also staff the concessions that provision the fleet and provide the port security?

The answer to all these questions is the United Arab Emirates. (UAE)

Lets see. We trust the UAE with our warships in their ports but not with their management of some of our ports. And while the Dubai company won't be managing U.S. ports where cargo is unloaded, it will continue to manage foreign ports where cargo is loaded for shipment to the United States.

And while ole' Hillary is making statements like "Our port security is too important tp place in the hands of foreign governments" her husband has been advising the UAE on the political storm in Congress.

I just hope that these hypocrites are consistent and introduce legislation to force companies from China, Singapore, Japan and Denmark and others to turn over their U.S. port operations to American companies.

I am afraid that this decision is going to backfire in all of our faces.
