Porn starlet Mary Carey to dine with Bush again

I hope Bush shares the true gospel with her, and she becomes our sister in Christ.

 

I would hope that, too, but he seems confused on the issue. At least, according to his public statements.

 

From the headline you'd think it was going to be an intimate dinner for two in a little secret hideaway corner somewhere! Instead, it's a two day tax reform workshop hosted by the National Republican Congressional Committee that includes a fund raiser banquet. If any one wants to attend and can afford the cost they're free to register. To the best of my knowledge there's no application to submit attesting to one's civil morality much less faith in Christ Jesus one way or the other.

The pornography industry is indeed a lucrative money making business here in America which is a shameful reflection upon the character of our citizens who consume their products regardless of their political affiliation. I'm certain some politicians do support it passively if not actively especially in the more liberal areas of the country. That stinks! However, to imply that the National Republican Congressional Committee, or the National Republican Party, or any other party for that matter, validates this industry's activities because this particular lady is attending a conference hosted by them is not truthful. The invitation to attend the conference is open to all and a person can sign up right on the Internet if they want to attend. No one has to attest to their moral character or even political views. I'll bet people would scream loudly if such was required and the guest list was tightly screened! I'm sure some people received personal invitations but I haven't seen an official list and don't know who, if any one, gave her a special invitation. I'm relatively certain the President didn't specifically invite her but will be polite to her at the function as he should be to all the guests. This lady seems to be clamoring for attention either for personal, business, or political reasons and she's likely to get plenty of it by a media obsessed with such trivial news.

 

Wait. She's still in the business, and she's welcome at a GOP fund-raiser?

I guess it's a legal way to make a living (at least some places), but still...

I wish pornography didn't exist but it does. It's yet another result of fallen mankind's evil ways.

I wish pornography was against our civil law everywhere but it isn't. Some people have considered protection of "free speech" to apply to this conduct and they'll not permit stopping pornography among "consenting adults" by force of law.

I wish this lady wasn't attending the conference but she is.

I wish people wouldn't imply that means endorsement of pornography by those hosting the conference but they will.

 

There just happens to be an interview (look it up under "From Porn to Politics" on www.foxnews.com) with this lady on Fox News today. When asked how she was invited, she said that her "...friend had an invitation..." and she "...was kind of sneaky on the Internet..." about it. That doesn't sound much like a personal formal invitation from the organizers of the conference to me. I smell another news story attempting to discredit the Republicans by association. It's time for an apology from the accusers.

 

We'll know more, when we see how the Republicans react now that the cat's out of the bag.

My guess is that money talks.

 

From her comments it sounds like she's facing an uphill battle for acceptance to the club. That's a lot different than the implication made that she had a special invitation to the club's event. That's also a lot different than the implication made by associating her name with the President as if they were close personal friends.

 

I think a lot of drunk Republican leaders readily accept

Ha! She said those words in the same interview I mentioned above! Do you enjoy this kind of cheap gossip? Do you find it credible? Do you enjoy making, or spreading, the implications that Republican leaders invited this lady to attend and thereby endorse her pornographic film making activities? Somehow, I have to believe the probability of her "getting hit on" is just as high or low among any group irrespective of political party affiliation. Do you believe otherwise? I'd say it has more to do with the character of the individuals being either impressed or disgusted or just neutral towards the lady's demeanor. Watch the interview and put the words with the expressions and, if you've been around in this world a while, I think you might be able to figure out what it's all about.

 

Scarborough: When you're in Washington DC, hanging out with the Republicans, are they on their best behaviour?

Carey: I actually get hit on more in Washington DC, by Republicans that are drunk than I do by porno fans in Vegas.

Scarborough: You've done enough damage to the GOP...

Poor Bush.
His buddies Putin&Berlusconi are in a much better position when it comes to these kind of things.
Berlusconi could simply flirt with her without getting any criticism worth mentioning.
For Vlad, doing a pornstar on top of a table during a formal dinnerparty (having his bodyguards take the lady outside and murder her afterwards is optional) would cause his ratings to go through the roof.
