Since retiring, I am enjoying being able to preach in various churches. I am doing supply preaching for churches where the pastor has resigned. Because I am active in my church, I don't see doing Interim work right now.
But I was wondering who else does it and how they determine what to preach?

    Any Ideas?

I did it for a time when I lived down toward your end of the world. I never set an amount I just always took what they gave me. Churches usually have a set amount they provide. Some more than others.

I never ask what they will give or even if they will give.

I'm such a knucklehead. I always preach a highly evangelistic message when I fill another pulpit unless I am specifically asked for something else.
