In case anyone is interested I just started the book of Revelation in my Wednesday night series. On Wednesday nights I always preach through verse by verse one chapter per week, and I memorize each chapter before I preach it. So far, I have done Hebrews, Philippians, Matthew, Habakkuk, and James.

I just started preaching on Revelation on Wednesday night (chapter 1), and there will be one chapter per week.

Just wanted to invite anyone interested to listen in to all or certain chapters of interest. Otherwise disregard. Here is the link to the sermons page:

WARNING: if you believe in the pre-tribulation rapture, you may be converted

    Thank you,

Not if you believe as scripture teaches that the tribulation period is the wrath of God.

Spamderson. He posts links to his "sermons" (diatribes) and never discusses his allegations. Some of his junk is pretty severe. He destroyed a TV with a sledgehammer during one "sermon." You could hear little children screaming (obviously scared) during the "illustration."

He spams and leaves. He's not worth discussing. Whoops, guess I just did.

Whenever people are wrong (i.e. the people in this forum) they resort to personal attacks instead of discussing the issue. What does smashing televisions have to do with any of this. Maybe you should smash yours, so it doesn't brainwash you any more than it already has.

What is your basis for this?

The Bible is clear that tribulation = persecution. Look up every time the word occurs in the NT. Here is the first mention in the NT where God defines it for us:

Mat 13:21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

    Or try these:

Joh 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Act 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
    Rom 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
    Rom 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
2Co 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
2Co 7:4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.
1Th 3:4 For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.
Rev 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Rev 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
Rev 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

This is what the Bible says the tribulation is, not some preacher or dictionary.

Maybe you should jump in the TV set before you start one of your threads, then reach out and turn it off.

    Saturn I am rolling.

If you will do a study on the bowl judgements it should clear it up for you. To equate the word tribulation in reference to this 7 year period to the same tribulation Christ spoke of is a clear misunderstanding of the two issues. The context of one is personal affliction the context of the tribulation period is judgement. Do you really think the church will suffer such a judgement?

None of what you are saying can be supported by the Bible. That's why you aren't using any; you are just vaguely referring to the seven vial judgments which occur AFTER the tribulation and AFTER the rapture.

You have been brainwashed that the 7 trumpets and 7 vials occur during the tribulation. This has no basis in the Bible. the word tribulation is never used in the Bible after Revelation chapter 7 which describes the raptured saints in Heaven.

The tribulation is the antichrist's regime persecuting God's people. The wrath of God is poured out after the rapture which according to Matthew 24 is after the tribulation. It is extremely simple, as long as you don't have a preconceived idea.

Okay guys, Steve has done something different in this thread. He has actually engaged in discussion.

Now that Ed Edwards is on board, we'll see Steve is willing to discuss further. If so, it'll be good.

BTW, 2Timothy, what inflammatory language are you talking about?

He's already been attacked by more than one of you, none of it on the basis of his views. And Steve has attacked no one.

(By the way, I claim credit for first describing him as a drive-by poster. That one he earned all by himself.)

So, let's cut him some slack momentarily and see if he joins the debate for more than three comments.

I've made fun of Steve before for his drive-by posting, but on his eschatology, I'm on the same side.

Okay, Bro. Steve, the ball's in your court.

Dont lump me on any attacks. You will not find a single one from me. Refering to anyone as brainwashed is quite inflammatory. And I doubt I really need to clarify why.

    Bunk...pure bunk...IMO

My only comment to this thread will be that after looking at the "doctrines" section from this "pastors" website and seeing that they are "non-dispensational", that tells me that much of what he says will go off-track into error simply because of that alone. He will always have the true church and Israel mixed up as well as the end-time events involving both these two distinctly different groups of people. The Holy Bible IS a dispensational book and those who reject that fact soon fall into all sorts of error. I DO believe that the Bible teaches that Christians who walk a godly walk will suffer being persecuted (see 2 Timothy 3:12) but there has always been a price to be paid in this wicked world if you don't follow its ways or walk after the flesh. I am 1000% for the "old paths",but this guy is wrong about this. The tribulation is for Israel (sadly) because they rejected Christ at His first coming. It will happen AFTER we(the church) are raptured out of here at which time the anti-christ will come on the scene and all hell will break loose. During that time the Church will be attending the JSOC and then the marriage supper of the Lamb prior to the 2nd coming and during the tribulation. And no...I'm no theologian and I don't have all those verses to prove what I just said on the tip of my tongue OR committed to memory(I wish I did) but I'm sure some of my more learned brethren in here can supply them. I've just always prayed and trusted the ministry of the Holy Spirit that indwells me to give me the discernment to know right from wrong and truth from error....and "pastor" Anderson is wrong.Have a nice day ya'll.

    Sorry Grasshopper..no can do

I gave up on Jack Van Impe when he tossed his hat in the ring with the "holy" mother whore...er...church in Rome. Sad too....Always sad when ANY man who has that much of the Word of God committed to memory walks away from the clear teachings of the Word of God in favor of a bigger audience and more money. I heard the man preach in Jacksonville Florida in the early 80's and he was great. He came in carrying a King James Bible, layed it on the pulpit(unopened) and preached for at least an hour quoting verse after verse WORD PERFECT. It was a blessing at the time. I do have his tape series on the entire book of Revelation which he did many years ago. It was quite good and VERY scriptural (in my humble opinion) Although the truths taught are unchanged,I'd have a hard time listening to it now knowing the depth of compromise he has fallen to. Very sad indeed. Right there in the same league as Billy Graham and his son Franklin. Whether the gospel is preached clearly is NOT the standard fellowship rises and falls on. Opps...sorry...don't want to hijack the thread....just responding to Grasshoppers cute little remark.:tongue3:
