VIETNAM: On March 15, 2013, two brothers, Pa and Ngai, were arrested without charge or warrant and kept in separate cells. Pa could hear his brother being violently beaten in the cell next door, and he later saw authorities carrying Ngai’s limp body to a waiting ambulance. Pa was released, and on March 18, police announced that Ngai was dead. They issued a report saying that Ngai had died after putting his hand in an electrical socket, but the horrendous torture marks on Ngai’s body told the true story. Pa and Ngai had moved their families to the central part of Vietnam to plant a church in a Hmong community. They were aware of the risks, but also knew the Hmong people needed to hear the gospel. Ngai is survived by his wife, Ly Thi Song, and their four children. Ly told The Voice of the Martyrs that they are frightened but the family is going back to the Hmong village and still serving the Lord faithfully. VOM is providing assistance to Ly and her children. Please pray for this courageous family and their ministry.

It is so incredible the REAL persecution that is going on in Christ's church today. We in the US should count ourselves blessed- and not let our guard down. Today is the day to pray for the persecuted church and we see just another case of the horrors our brothers and sisters face. :(
