    Prayer is always indicated in situations like this. Things can definitely go bad quickly.

    Remember that Japan has been threatened by North Korea and Japan is posturing as part of the negotiation process. They want North Korea to see that they are serious about self-defense and also testing the International waters.

    I think Japan's completely pacifist constitution is outdated. They need to have at least some kind of offensive capability (to be used if they are ever attacked). You don't defeat an attacker by just stopping his attacks--you have to counter-attack, and it seems that Japan lacks that capability.

    It is also quite evident that the United States, though it protects Japan under it's nuclear umbrella, may not be fully capable of assisting Japan in a conventional war, given it's MASSIVE operations elsewhere.
