Pray for us as we go out witnessing today. I have a ton of Christmas tracts ranging from ones by living waters to ones by proclaiming the gospel ministries. Pray for the elect and souls to be saved. This never happens but pray for seeds to be sown in people's hearts and especially that of the elect. The word shall not return void (Isa 55). We seek to obey Mark 16:15 and to preach to every creature (NIV). Pray as I open the law to people that people will hear it.

I'll pray that Christ is exalted and people get a glimpse of the Risen Savior in all His glory.

I thought you were submitting to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Remember the, "... Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so." (Matthew 19:8 KJV) Jesus?

You should be on your knees in your prayer closet not on a street corner telling everyone how well you did on the Nine Commandments.

When looking at the title of this thread I honestly thought it was about reuniting with your wife.
I thought you were seeking prayerful support regarding your reconciliation.

Matthew 17:20 And He said to them, "Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it shall move; and nothing shall be impossible to you.

Matthew 19:26 And looking upon them Jesus said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

Mark 10:27 Looking upon them, Jesus said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God."

Luke 1:37 "For nothing will be impossible with God."

Luke 18:27 But He said, "The things impossible with men are possible with God."

Sadly, you don't want anyone's. And there is nothing distinctly Wesleyan about acknowledging the power of Almighty God. There is also nothing distinctly Wesleyan about recognizing when a brother is in willful disobedience. I truly grieve for you and hold you constantly in my prayers. Petulance is not a fruit of the spirit. It is the rotten fruit of a hard heart and a stiff neck.

You are only compounding your disobedience by hitting the streets and trying to convict sinners by using the Nine Commandments. You have apparently found the one about adultery too difficult and have omitted it from your appeal. How can you expect a lost individual to fall under conviction when the redeemed find it so difficult.

If your self-appointed ministry was under the authority of a local church you would be duly benched until you demonstrated repentance and contrition.

And there is nothing distinctly Wesleyan about that either.

The elders know about my ministry and have prayed for it, and they know about my divorce. So you are wrong Wesylian.

But Evan, all Padre did was to quote scripture in the post which you claim is Wesleyan:

Which of theses passages of scripture are "Wesleyan"?

    Thanks

Padre interprets everything through his theological lens which I want no part of.

Also I am against adultery. That is having sex before marriage, sleeping with another man's wife, etc..

Please. If you are trying to insult me the word is Wesleyan.

    I want a principle within
    of watchful, godly fear,
    a sensibility of sin,
a pain to feel it near.
I want the first approach to feel
    of pride or wrong desire,
to catch the wandering of my will,
    and quench the kindling fire.

    ~Charles Wesley

    Malachi 2:13-16 NAS77
13 "And this is another thing you do: you cover the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping and with groaning, because He no longer regards the offering or accepts it with favor from your hand.
14 "Yet you say, 'For what reason?' Because the LORD has been a witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant.
15 "But not one has done so who has a remnant of the Spirit. And what did that one do while he was seeking a godly offspring? Take heed then, to your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of your youth.
16 "For I hate divorce," says the LORD, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with wrong," says the LORD of hosts. "So take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously."

OK but these passages are excellent passages.
Once before when you were seeking advice my intuition said - pray for your wife, forgive your wife.

I don't know your situation but I believe Padre was alluding to the scripture which declares that nothing is impossible with God.

There is no situation for God that He cannot resolve into a righteous situation.

    Praying for you Evan.

You are correct. Reconciling with my wife would be best but she has to want it as I cannot force it. At the moment she has made no move to reconcile and wants no reconciliation.
