Prayer difficulties

    How often your mind fly to think about secular and nonsenses while praying? how do you handle that? How common is this situation among believers?

    It's not that uncommon, Joman. It happens to me when I am praying out of 'duty' and not out of my heart. But when something is on my heart, or when I feel that desire simply to be alone with the Lord, then I totally resent any other thoughts that attempt to intrude and willingly and quickly push them back.

    I just tell Satan to get behind me, appologize to the Lord for the interruption and move on with the prayer at hand.

    When I tend to get distracted, I pray outloud or writre it down.

    Good grief, folks, it doesn't require the devil to distract us from our prayers! We do a perfectly adequate job ourselves!
