Prayer for the Fall 2020 Semester in our Schools

The BB reflects a number of Baptist colleges and seminaries. Some have restrictions about classes, masks, distancing, etc. Some are opting for only or mostly on-line programs, losing the face-to-face interaction, dorm life, music, drama, sports and campus activities that truly comprise a LARGE part of a student's education outside the classroom or computer.

Ask any on the BB to simply include the students and the schools in your prayers, that the work of education in a godly environment and academic setting be not hurt by what is going on around the world. Our small schools that are privately funded (no big donors or Baptist denomination support) or tuition-driven are especially vulnerable.

Additionally, my wife and I have decided to give a gift to our alma mater (Maranatha Baptist University, opening classes Monday including one of my grandchildren) to help cope with the crushing financial challenges. Many on the BB attended Baptist colleges and seminaries and we want to encourage you to consider the same idea.
