Prayer request for our musical today!!

Our church puts on a Christmas musical each year and this year's is amazing! Unfortunately, we seem to be experiencing a LOT of technical issues and last night my poor DH said it was bad. He's an electrical/computer engineer specializing in the audio industry (well, formerly - now he's a pastor getting paid way less to apparently work on the same kind of stuff - as you'll see here) and he's running sound for the program. Last night, ALL of the wireless microphones had major interferance issues and my poor DH had to shut down 1/2 the system. He's up there now trying to trouble-shoot the system but we think it might actually have been cell phone interferance!

This program is a mighty program and each year, more and more hearts are open to God through it. I can't tell you how many say "I was here a few years ago and saw the Christmas program and came to the Lord." and I just want there to be no outside influences like this issue to take over. We have one show today for mostly the older people and those with kids - and then we have 2 shows tomorrow. Please pray that this goes off with much less obvious hitches!!

 

Will do Joshua! It worked. We stressed the importance of TURNING off cell phones and not just putting them on silent. Someone must have come in late and had their phone ring - and it set off the system. So now we know for sure that the system and cell phones are not friends. We'll tell everyone at both shows tomorrow before they even enter the sanctuary that the phones must be off.

The musical was wonderful! I'm just amazed at the talent at this church - the voices were amazing, the acting was REALLY good and the message was loud and clear. I just pray that the seed that was planted will take root.
