Prayer Request

I thought it best to put this request in here due to the content of the request.

Yesterday I received a phone call from a church in the next town (about 45 minutes away) that had recently received the resignation of their music pastor. They said they had heard a great deal about my preaching and musical abilities and want me to consider taking the position. This would actually be a good move for us right now since my wife is expecting our first child in a month or so, and the pay would be enough to allow her to stay at home and raise our child.

The ministry of music is very special to me and I am very passionate about MINISTERING through song and teaching a choir how to give their best to Christ. I have served in this position before and presently serve (paid only as used) in my home church as a back up to our music pastor, but I consider making any kind of move in ministry very seriously and would appreciate prayer support as my wife and I seek God's will.

Thank you all for your prayers. After contacting the pastor I felt strongly to "Be Still". The pastor seemed much more interested in getting someone in the position and less interested in praying about who. This bothered me a great deal. I don't think I could work with or sit under the preaching of a pastor such as this.

Anyway, It is always good when God so strongly shows you his will.
