My position is that every day millions of people are going thru a great personal tribulation and it dosn't matter to them and neither does it matter to me.

Rapture, Tribulation, 2nd Coming, Armageddon, 1,000 year reign, Heaven.
The church does not go through the Tribulation, nor is it a victim in the Battle of Armageddon, and it does not go through the 1,000 year reign of Christ on earth (the promise of the Kingdom to the Jews fulfilled). Once caught up to meet Him in the air, there the church remains.

WOW!!! I pray raying: that the lord blesses you and everything goes better. It seems as if you are going through a difficult time with your personal tribulation and I pray that the lord blesses you big time!!!

See My position is that there is much power in the Tongue!!! In will not speak any negativity towards my self with my mouth. In Confess Victory not negativity. If you are going through a difficult time!!! Dont Worry!!! He who is in you is greater then he who is agaisnt you!!!! Even if things seem diffucult of impossible always proclaim your victory...

I am truly concerned about your statements here. It sounds like you've learnd this from the Word Faith teachings. When I was in the New Age, we believed that thinking or saying anything negative would attract negative things to us, and positive would attract positive. This is actually a principle from the New Thought Movement, which was not Christian at all. New Thought had a big influence on the New Age beliefs. It's also a principle in the occult and is used in magic. These teachings have infiltrated the church through New Thought students like Norman Vincent Peale and Robert Schuller, and through the Word Faith teachings.

Our tongue has power in the sense that our words impact others -- that is what James is talking about. But our tongues do not have power in the sense that saying something negative causes negative things to happen. This is not biblical at all.

The Bible is not about positive and negative, but good and evil.

Amil here..What tribulation? Where is a rapture? Maybe a rupture!

Thankfully my Jesus is on the throne right now, at the right hand of the Father, reigning over the universe...........and one day I will join Him in the victory.

That's basically where I stand as well. With all that is going on in the world...I REAAAAAAAALLY hope I'm wrong!

You can see the rapture in all kinds of OT types. You can see it in the story of Isaac and Rebekah. You can see it in Enoch. Just to name a couple.

And you can see it in I Thessalonians and in Revelation in chapters 1 and 4.

Oh yeah you can see it in the story of Lot as well.

It will happen. The kingdom is yet to come, but it is coming one-day as well. Christ is not sitting on the throne, He is sitting at the right hand of the Father and is our Advocate and High Priest. He will one day rule the nations for 1,000 years which is the age to come and then after that the throne will become the throne of God and the Lamb and eternity will be ushered in for mankind.

i'll stick with pre-wrath. anyone ever heard of it?
i dont know a whole lot about it. but to me it sounds more biblical then any others.

but i dont focus on it. cause it really doesnt matter to me when it is. i'll keep examining myself according to scripture and will be ready. for i know He's coming (He will not come as a thief in the night to the christians that know He's coming)

but we dont know when. so i'll try to be ready as i can. with the Lord's help of course.

Pre trib for me. The Bible says we are not appointed unto wrath...God's or the antichrist. What is the purpose of the church going through the tribulation anyway? God's wrath for the church was taken out on Christ on the cross! The tribulation is for the jews.

umm... the 7 years of tribulation and God's wrath are different.

the bible does say we are not appointed unto wrath. and the seven vials are God's wrath.

the antichrist's "wrath" is at a different time then God's wrath (7 vials)

No trib. When Jesus comes back, it will be to resurrect the bodies of His saints for glory and eternity future with Him, and at the same time raise the unsaved, for judgment to the lake of fire with the devil and his minions.

But then again, I don't care either way. Pretrib, Posttrib, No trib, whichever is true don't reallly matter much if you'll be in eternity with God anyway.

I find it silly for Christians to speculate and divide even on who the rotten potatoes the anti Christ is.

If we know we truly belong to Christ, what do we care ?

Book of James!!!! Chapter 3

Taming the Tongue
1Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. 2We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.
3When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. 5Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.
7All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, 8but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

9With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. 10Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. 11Can both fresh water and salt[a] water flow from the same spring? 12My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.


An example of how words can bring forth death and destruction can be found in Mark 11:13-14,20:
"And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he (Jesus) came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it. And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots."
On the other hand, an example of words bringing forth life can be found in John 11:43-44:
"And when he thus had spoken, he (Jesus) cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go."
We can see from these two examples just how powerful our words can be. It is our privilege and responsibility as Christians to speak forth positive life-giving words in a world immersed in negativity. After all Proverbs 12:25 says that "Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad." and "pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones" (Proverbs 16:24).

But then again, I don't care either way.

This is a very dangerous way to operate. You are basically saying that God's Word doesn't matter. We had a couple of Sunday School classes where we would start to discuss controversial issues and in the end people would say it doesn't matter, because it doesn't affect my salvation.

That is just a copout for not wanting to understand the more meatier subjects of Scripture. They do matter or God would not have revealed it to us. If it's in there it is in there for a reason and a purpose and we should seek the Spirit guidance to the Truth!
