Primax scanner

    I have recently bought an XP computer, but my scanner will not go in there, the computer will say that the scanner is sucessfully installed, but when I try to use it it says scanner not found :confused: what can I do?

    Go to control panel, clik on the scanner/camera icon. Does it list your scanner there? If not then reinstall software.
    Also check in the Device Manager & see if a scanning device is listed. If so then rite clik on the particular scanner, go to properties & it will tell you if there is a problem with the scanner...drivers failed to load etc.
    All else fails for a quickie...reboot.See what happens.

    If your scanner is there. You could try to uninstall it and reinstall it. You will find this in the control panel.

    If it is an older scanner, it may not work without new drivers for xp. If the suggestions above don't work go to the scanner manufacturer site and see if they don't have a new driver for it.

    You are right they don`t do XP ....... I`ll have to get a new one :(
