    Cheapskate Roger is looking for a freeware package that will let me list church contacts with names, addresses, tel numbers, email addy and birthdays.

    I could do it in Word or Publisher but want it to look kinda nice

    I don't like Outlook :(

    Thunderbird/email has an addy book in it. Freeware and comes in portable version also.

    I use Starfishes TrueSync, don't know if it is around anymore or not, it is commercial but very old and would be cheap if you could find it.

    How about make a database and then create a report (arrange everything how you want). Would be easy to maintain and the layout would be consistent.

    I bought a copy of Church Secretary for Windows along with the code at a yardsale for 50 cents.

    Program works great with the database. I do not know if I can legally copy it and send it to anyone though.

    Church Secretary for Windows is sold by Dennis Baggot and Sons. I just looked at the website. Latest version is 129.00.

    My copy is version 1.1 and was from 2001. They are up to version 7.o now

    I just recently printed a nice booklet with all that info using Outlook... :)

    Thanks for all the help - we ended up using Publisher. Our son's fiancee is here and had some time, so she got it looking nice!

    Sounds like you need the free Mac OS X address book, but first you need a Mac and they are not free normally.

    That got me thinking, are Macs racist? I've just never seen a black Mac... its all white...

    Yes, but even with the black MacBook, they don't have anything like the brown Microsoft Zune so I suppose they are still racist against hispanics I guess :)

    Seriously Apple has been accused of that since there are no blacks on the board of directors.

    It is really stupid though.
    I am sure if a black man was a good fit for the job they would hire him.
    Good companies hire based on qualifications, white or black or whatever.
    Stupid companies make sure they have every minority out there so as not to offend someone, whether they are a good fit for the job or not.
