1972, Joe Biden, identifying himself as a devout Roman Catholic runs for the United States Senate from Delaware. He is elected and he indicates during the campaign that he holds what is basically an anti-abortion or pro-life position. That was 1972.
In 1976, Joe Biden, as a United States senator, votes for the Hyde Amendment. That was the legislation adopted on a bipartisan basis in both the House and the Senate that would prevent the American taxpayer from being compelled to pay for abortion against conscience. Joe Biden would later support the Hyde Amendment for almost 45 years. At so many points, during those four decades and more, bragging about the fact that he had supported the Hyde Amendment from the beginning and indicating his absolute resolve in principle that American taxpayers should not be compelled to pay for abortion when they believe that abortion is a grave moral wrong, he supported the Hyde Amendment in 1976, even when that amendment did not have an exception for rape or incest.
In 2019 on June 6, just a day after the previous day, affirming his support for the Hyde Amendment, Joe Biden as a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, all of a sudden announced he had changed his position, that he now opposes Hyde. Candidate Biden then said, "If I believe healthcare is a right as I do, I can no longer support an amendment that makes that right dependent on someone's zip code." In other words, even as Joe Biden talks about how he resists political expediency and stands for intellectual consistency, in this case, he did a 180-degree turn in a matter of 24 hours for no reason other than blatant political expediency, because he wasn't going to be allowed within a hundred yards of the Democratic presidential nomination, unless he avidly, aggressively, assertively opposed the Hyde Amendment, which he had been supporting for 45 years and had bragged about voting for Hyde in similar measures no less than 50 times.

Biden is just a fridge that you can stick whatever magnet on that you like. Right now he has an "Pro-Abortion" and "Mao-Esque" magnet on. Who knows, maybe tomorrow he'll have something new on?

Maybe he'll back the Hyde Amendment again?

I thought the mantra was

my body my choice

shouldn’t that apply to Covid as well?

The only choices allowed are those approved by the Communists.

Sort of like how diversity is only allowed if you agree with everything they say.

JFK Dems, Moderates, Conservatives, Republicans, and Libertarians are all dangerous for not adhering to Commie groupthink.

There is nothing Biblical under the Second Covenant that supports saving the lives of to be aborted fetuses but advocating the death penalty or killing people in war. A life is a life. Convince me from the Bible that this is a moral position.

Genesis 9:6, ". . . Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: . . ." The unborn by 18 days has blood distinct from the mother and a beginning of a nervous system . . . .

How about a war of self-defense? A war where the enemy will pillage your towns, defile your women and murder your children. I would say there is clear biblical reasoning based on the duties of a man to defend his family.

[Mat 5:38-39, 43-44 KJV] 38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. ... 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

The above verses would pertain if it was only you in danger of something, but we are talking about defending others. I.E your wife and kids.

The true question is are you loving your wife as Christ loves the Church if you allow people to defile her while you stand idly by?

As a corollary:
Would Christ allow satan to defile His Church? Or would He protect His Church?

Jesus was teaching, in part, against one taking the Law into one's own hands. Furthermore the part of the Law which taught "An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth," was meant for the judges of the nation of Israel under their theocracy.
