This thread is to discuss the experience and/or educational requirements that a person should have before they write about creation.

    What say you?

I'll add my two cents later.

Craig, you say that Mike is not qualified to write a book on creation science; are YOU qualified to do so?

    "Creation science" is an oxymoron.

    • A minimum of a few minutes of pre-school

    • An I.Q. of 60 or higher

    • The common sense of at least a mentally retarded baboon suffering from the late stages of progressive dementia

Okay Craig, you are being sarcastic now. Do you want me to be sarcastic and say you are the most qualified because you evolved and crawled "out" of the sea? (Just kidding.)

So, in your book, there is no creation period. In fact, I believe in one of your posts you indicated that creation was a dangerous thing to believe.

Why do you bother believing the gospels if creation is so blatantly false?

No, admins. I'm not off thread, Let me have some leeway to make a point.

I suppose that creation is a reality for the very reason that I am supposing.

I did NOT write that in any of my books. Perhaps you have me confused with some other author.

Creation and evolution are philosophical issues and ultimately matters of faith. What are the educational requirements to discuss philosophy and faith?

Creation has already been written about in a book. THE Book. Isn't that enough?

(since we're adding our 2 cents)

    In Christian love.

OldRegular! Evolution is not a matter of faith! You got it all wrong!

Faith is knowing exactly what God says is true and believeing that with all of one's heart, soul, mind, and body!!!

Evolution is thoughts in the dark!

Creation is God doing what He did in broad daylight!!!!

If someone wants to write a book---let him write a book!!! Lots of folks write books everyday---with the mind of an evolutionist---scribblin' in the dark!!! I can't stop him(the evolutionist) from writin' a book--thats his freedom---but I've got the freedom NOT to BUY a worthless waste of ink and paper!!!

Lots of folks write books everyday--with the mind of a creationist---true pinmanship under the searchlight of Light's truth!!!

Yes it is—for those Christians who are still living in the dark ages! For those of us who are living in the 21st century it is a fact of life! Christians who write books denying the truth are not serving God, but the other guy by making Christians look like ignorant fools and thereby making our savior look like a country bumpkin.

One of the most ridiculous paradigms of our present culture is that only "qualified experts" should be writing or otherwise offering opinion.

From my experience many, if not most, of the "experts" of today are instead highly 'educated', and highly prejudiced, if not brainwashed, advocates of a particular position. Rapidly disappearing are educated people who have been taught to simply, and critically, think.

The people who should write today are people who first, have good writing skills, and secondly, know how to research a topic, and objectively apply critical thought to it.

You are right. But the problem is a Ph.D. or Ed.D. sells books. Of course you do know there are some groups who give a doctorate to anyone who has a need to look good.

I take it Craigbythesea you are a theistic evolutionist. There is evidence both ways and evolution is just a theory which has multitudes of missing links and has to overcome impossible mathematical probabilities .You believe what you believe for your own reasons and that is fair enough. What is not fair is you taking the position that anyone who takes a position different from yours is a moron. I've read many of your posts before and frankly this last post you made is below you.

No, you have to be a big-name celebrity to sell books. Having a degree doesn't have much to do with it, unless it opens a few doors and helps you along the way to celebrity status.

"Only in America", as they say. To my knowledge, America is the only place in the world where they sell degrees to each other.

At least they have better sense than to buy your book. And railing on Americans on the Baptist Message board does not make your book anything more than delusional nonsense.
