Question about the Gideons

Is anyone here a member of the Gideons? How do you become a member? I went to their website, but I didn't see any information about becoming involved with them. Are there certain qualifications? Do you have to know someone who is already a member?

For membership qualifications, read this pdf file, page 41 and following.

There are spiritual and occupational requirements.
Broadly speaking, one must be a Protestant businessman.
No clergy, women, or "retail clerks" may be members, but these may contribute financially as "Friends of the Gideons." Wives can be members of the Auxiliary.
