Most of the Calvinists (that are Baptists) that I know are dispensationalists.nodak said:I am currently baptist but not Baptist so will post here.
I read on one of the threads on the Baptist only section where someone referred to McArthur as a dispensationalist. I thought he was calvinist. Did I miss something?
You are correct. I agree with his eschatology, and not his soteriology.nodak said:I am currently baptist but not Baptist so will post here.

nodak said:Thanks! Yes, most (not all!) Baptist Calvinists I have met are pre mil. Not the same as dispensationalist--at least, not the same as those I know who identify as dispensationalist. But they do seem to be kinfolk theologies to each other.
I have to say most I know who identify as dispensationalist are not calvinist.
Starting to confuse even myself!
