Last year, I asked the board what would they do if a fellow dressed in rumpled clothes, unkempt, unshaven, with the smell of alcohol on his breath would grace the church (or sit outside during services).....what would happen? Would the person be escorted out of the premises or be approached with concern for his needs. The chart posted above hit me, in the Jesus column it states "MAKE THE UNWORTHY FAMILY"....hmmmmm I am thinking.
See I work with the outsider in my walk. It aint easy & its often frustrating but I do it because since Ive known Christ, I cannot let anyone go by without talking about Him. so I soldier on. Ive also tried to help couples with marital problems, young people with very little hope of a future, people who are depressed ....blah, blah, blah.
Something has changed in me.....in the past I wasn't very concerned for others. Guess that's what happens when you completely fall in love with your maker.

I was watching MLJ the other night being interviewed by a woman who was attempting to excoriate him for his belief system. The good doctor turned the tables on her & in doing so proved to me anyway how we as Christians MUST defend ourselves.....Look it up Steve, it is on Youtube or on the internet somewhere. I am very proud of that man, not because he is a Welsh Methodist (like my long dead relatives) but because he totally represents Christ (and in doing that made the woman interviewing him very uncomfortable). And if that unbridled passion, love & commitment to our Lord is "Radical" then so be it! I can only hope I could do likewise.
Another example of a Radical Christian was George Whitfield. When the poor miners would not or could not come to Sunday Service then he went to them. God gave him the understanding, the gift of speech & the want & courage to go out and open air preach.
Other examples are Paul of Tarsus, James Montgomery Boice, love his book "The Doctrines of Grace," Francis Chan....Read the book "Crazy Love" .... our own Iconoclast who travels the roads of the USA & takes the gospel to the street, just anyone who has been transformed by the power of the HS & gets it (has love for the Lord) and actively spreads the Gospel, lives the Gospel, breathes the Gospel!
