In the soccer thread in the Politics section Bro. Curtis ranked a couple of his favorite sports. The purpose of this thread is to rank your personal interest and fondness for each particular sport. Let's do it on a 1 to 10 scale. I'll start.

    Baseball, professional..............9.5
Baseball, college and below......9.0 (disclaimer: I coach a youth traveling team)

    Football, professional..............8.5
    Football, college and below......7.0
Football, arena......................3.0 (will watch it if nothing else is on TV, and hate to admit I can stand it.)

    Hockey, professional...............8.0
    Hockey, college and below.......6.5

    Basketball, professional............0.5
    Basketball, college and below....7.0
    Basketball, women's, any level...0.0

    Soccer, World Cup (w/ U.S.A.)..4.0
    Soccer, all other times.............0.5

Softball, women's, any level.......1.5 (my job forces me to feign interest)

Australian Rules Football...........3.0 (went through a phase, sorry.)

Fotboll, or The Beautiful Game. :D - 6-9, depending upon country (SWE and U.S. national teams primarily), league, and tournament.

American football: 4, if Wifey has the remote and the Packers are playing...especially against Minnesota. ;)

    Not interested in anything else.

    Interesting, ITL. Here goes:

    Football:
    NFL 10.0
    College 10.0
    Arena 0.0
    Baseball:
    MLB: 9.9
    College: 8.5
    Soccer:
    World Cup: 9.9
MLS: 9.9 (as long as Sporting KC is playing)
8.0 (when SKC is not playing)
    Hockey:
    NHL: 8.0
    Any other level: 0.0
    Basketball:
    College: 7.5
    NBA: 5.7
    Women's NBA: 0.0
    Women's College: 0.0
ESPN, FoxSports and FoxSportsKC get overused at my house -- at least, my wife thinks so.

    Generally -- One

Maybe two for pro-football... but I live near Philadelphia - being a fan is hard work.

I have a idea that would make soccer more interesting - fence in the field and add a bull then make the players wear red.

Major League baseball 9, until the playoffs, then 10
NHL, 6 until the playoffs, then 9. (The Soviet Union breaking up changed the American game, it's not what it used to be, but playoff hockey is still awesome)

I don't follow any other sports, including all collegiate sports enough to rate them. I just don't have the interest, and I consider myself lucky that I am allowed to watch as much of what I like, without my family feeling neglected.

I do like ESPN's X-Games, and of course I watch the winter olympics. Summer olympics are kind of a snooze fest for me. I also enjoy watching Rugby (My brother played for Ahmerst College), and I also enjoy Australian footie.

    Six Nations Rugby 10.5 :)
    Rugby World Cup 10

    College American football 9.9
    NFL 8

    Soccer World Cup - 10
International soccer non World Cup 9.5
    Professional soccer - 7

Bro. Curtis, I read today that there are no high school baseball leagues in Montana. Is that true?

Here's a list of the top Montana High School baseball players in 1012.

    http://espn.go.com/high-school/baseball/story/_/id/7627663/montana

We don't have enough students in a lot high schools to field a team. So we have what are called AA leagues, or "Babe-Ruth" style leagues. There are a lot of baseball camps, and the Diamondbacks, Brewers, and the Reds all maintain teams in the rookie league. All of them have kids programs.

MLB gets a 9 and no other baseball is on my radar.

Pro football gets a 9, college football a 7, and 1 high school team from the town we lived in for 9 years before moving to TN gets an 8.

Pro hockey rates higher in the playoffs, of course, probably an 8 or so. I like hockey, but there are only so many hours in the day.

Pro basketball is a 9, college basketball in the regular season is a 1 at best, but rises to 9 during the NCAA Tournament.

Nascar before 2/18/01 was a 10. Nascar after 2/18/01 has waxed and waned, currently somewhere around 8 or 9.

I don't know if fantasy sports count or not, but they consume enough of my time that I'm counting them and they get a 9, also.

I watch baseball on occasion, but I love the playoffs and World Series. 8

I do watch Pro football throughout the season, and many college games as well. 9

I like golf, I love to watch final rounds on Sundays. 9

Pro basketball bores me, but I love the college teams especially during the tournament. 8

I like tennis on occasion 5

    I like hockey 7

I grew up in area of North Missouri that didn't have high school baseball because the winter lasted into April. (Try running the 880 -- what they used to call the 800 meters -- in the rain and 38 degrees!)

There's that, too. The snow is still on the ground in May. We have a six week summer, here.

In 4 of the categories --a big fat 0.

With respect to soccer and the World Cup maybe a 2.

There are only 24 hours in a day and those sports do not interest me.

I really, really, really don't get the point of trolling.

That's probably because you don't have a clue what trolling really is. <roll eyes>

Pretty sure I know what it is. Do you? You come into the thread and post a holier-than-thou statement, which pretty serves the purpose of annoying somebody. Congratulations, you just trolled us.

Come on and challenge him to an arm-wrestling bout. That's a sport I like.

Careful or ccrobinson will accuse you of trolling. You may not offer an opinion that differs from his own. When you do he calls that "trolling." :)
