IMO, both the RNC and the DNC manipulate statistics where and when they can to "prove" their candidate is the one who is "leading in the polls".
I took a course in statistics in college - the first day of the course the professors walked in and said "you can prove just about anything you want in a given situation with statistics and it will all be true".
It was one of the most difficult math courses I ever took including calculus (both integral and differential).

The data input, output and the calculation method impact the results.
You have to read carefully HOW the figures were calculated and the method(s) used (means, mode, median, average, range). The explanation is usually over our heads as average folks.
So it is. Be cautious with these Orwellian doublespeak figures. EITHER side.
