I love reading reference books better than a novel, I know that might seem wierd, but me and my Son love getting even the encyclopedias out to read.

Ok so...Not commentaries; but reference books...whats your favorite?

I know some like the Strongs, and some like the Vines, and some use the Thompson Chain, and some like Holman Dictionaries...

What is your favorite Reference Books?

I have a bunch (see posts under "Polls") as I love to study and learn and understand. First thing I learned in school was that I would NEVER know it all . . but that I could learn where to "find it".

    "The Roots of English"
"The World Almanac" (published annually) is a must for physical facts
"Rhyming Dictionary" (I write poetry, hymns)
    "Dictionary of the Christian Church"
    "Baker's Dictionary of Theology"
Number of Civil War references (hobby)

I have so many, it's difficult to name a favorite. Depends on what I am involved in at the moment.

Bible dictionaries, such as Ungers Bible Dictionary, Nelson's New Bible Dictionary

    The Holman Bible Handbook

Eddersheim's Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah

    Eusebius Ecclesiastical History

Wuest's Word Studies in the New Testament

This will do for now, I guess. [IMG]
