Regardless of translation, which audio Bible is your personal favorite?

Isn't a large part of your preference going to be whomever is reading the text?

For example, I've tried to listen to audiobooks several times and for the most part I don't like it because the narrator reads too slowly. I can read much faster than I can listen to a book and also reread portions if wanted.

Another problem for me is sometimes the reader's voice and/or cadence is irritating. There is a tendency to introduce a lot of melodrama into the reading. While I don't like robotic intoning of the text a lot of times the narrator will go overboard and begin acting.

One of the few audiobooks I've enjoyed was John Cleese reading C.S. Lewis's the Screwtape Letters. I really liked that one.

(Sorry I couldn't answer your question.)

I just listen to the Bible Gateways ESV audio read by some British dude. I enjoy taking walks and listening to scripture. The ESV is better to listen to than the NIV.
