"People like Ryan and the folks at The Weekly Standard and National Review need to wake up and see what is happening. The Clintons, the Obamas, and the press aren’t interested in preserving some type of “healthy” conservatism that can engage in honest debates with liberals once Trump is gone. They want to destroy conservatism altogether. They think all conservatives are basically evil, including the “nice” ones who live inside the Beltway. They want to make all Americans — all Americans — live under the principles of liberalism. No exceptions allowed — even for “conservatives” who claim that they never liked Trump anyway."

Let's just see how some of them do in their elections next week, Paul Ryan looks to be in a lot of trouble and many assume he's safe because he's the Speaker but many voters love to derail the king.

It's past time to write off the #neverTrump crowd, they have made up their minds and that's that. Some of them are the same people that used to claim to be sick of establishment Republicans like Dole and Romney, now they have an outsider then they claim they're too good to vote for Trump. At least Hillary is on record tweeting that she agreed on "vote your principles", she knows how to capitalize on a rift. Better just figure out a way to win without them, the self-righteous aren't the best political allies.

Incumbents tend to win primaries by huge margins. Paul Ryan will win the primary as easily as a crack-smoker would win a mayoral election in Washington DC. No contest.

If Hillary wasn't so widely seen as crooked, her campaign would probably steal the slogan "Character Counts" to use against Trump. Didn't Cruz say something at the RNC about voting your principles when he was breaking his support pledge?

Most of the #NeverTrump RATs are lemmings. For someone who talks about God and Israel, they blindly follow. Their complaints about Trump's character is just filler given to them by those they follow.

Don't believe DrudgeBart's assessment. Paul Ryan is safe, not because he is Speaker but because people in his district know and like him.
