Lev 25:3 Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.
Besides the chemicals we put in the land, this may well be why so much is depleted because we not allow the ground to rest. If you have sixty acres, only plant in thirty and allow the others to rest a year. Then at six years allow the first thirty to rest and you have a year left on the other thirty. Would be interesting to see how the crops thrive using that pattern.
