If you want to know what the Roman Catholic Church teaches today about justification and salvation, I suggest that you read Joseph A. Fitzmyer’s commentary on the Greek text of Romans. (Fitzmyer is one of today’s foremost Roman Catholic Bible Scholars. He also wrote a 154 page commentary on Philemon.)

If you want to know what the Roman Catholic Church teaches today about Jesus and His teachings, I suggest that you read Raymond E. Brown’s commentary on the Greek text of The Gospel According to John. (Brown was another of the foremost Roman Catholic Bible Scholars, but he died in 1998.)

If you want to know what the Roman Catholic Church teaches today about good Christians and good leaders in the church, I suggest that you read Luke Timothy Johnson’s commentary on the Greek text of 1 and 2 Timothy. (Johnson is another of today’s foremost Roman Catholic Bible Scholars.)

I you want to read smutty trash about the Roman Catholic Church, I suggest that read a book on Roman Catholicism by a man who learned about it from reading smut. The book, Reasoning from the Scriptures with Catholics by Ron Rhodes will do very nicely.

I you want to read a book of ridiculous fiction disguised as Bible prophesy, I suggest that you read The End Times in Chronological Order also by Ron Rhodes.

Are you Roman Catholic in theology but Baptist in name only?

Excuse me? Have you even read the book on Catholicism by Ron Rhodes?
