If Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump went head-to-head in a Republican primary, who would win in 2024?

    Good question.

We are talking about two different parties, so it depends on the number of Republicans who are traditional vs the number who are progressive.

Traditional Republicans would vote Reagan and view Trump as a RINO.

Progressive Republicans would vote Trump and view Reagan as not adapting to a party leaving him behind.

Ultimately the poll question is about Republicans rather than the candidates.

Today, Trump would win. Reagan would be the RFK Jr of the GOP.

I think....maybe. It is hard for me to tell how many ate traditional Republicans.

I saw where Trump said he will make IVF free for women who want the procedure. It is expensive. This was relieved with mixed reactions.

Some liked the idea of the government paying for IVF. Others did not like Trump spending taxpayers money that way.

I don't think having the government pay for elective procedures, or how Trump extended the federal debt, or really his foreign policy would sit well with traditional Republicans.

But parties change over time. So I really don't know where the GOP as a whole would land.
