It means that there is the slightest possibility that the Bush Administration will finally start listening to the American people and will withdraw us from this Iraqi quagmire as soon as possible!

I agree, this past election really sent a message to washington that we're not buying what they're selling. It also tells me this plan has been in the works for some time now. I am sure they didn't choose the new guy in one day.

Measure J passed in SF which was a 'official' call I guess, to get our President Impeached, so I think the Democrats are going pincer with toppling one member after the other and attacking the head at the same time

I think Rumsfeld got the PNAC ball rolling by "transforming" the military and the democrats will continue the program and get us even more entangled with the UN.

There definitely need to be an investigation, and if impeachable offenses were committed, so be it.

Oh, well there was that one but ...???

We all know Rumsfeld is just the scapegoat and that Bush is really running this war. It's no different than how Johnson had his hands in Vietnam. I sure hope we get a better pool of candidates for president. I think more people voted against Kery than for Bush.

Now let him out unless you want him to suffocate.

I think Rove, who clung to his "activate the base" strategy to the end, would not permit Bush to announce Rumsfeld's sacking. In fact, if the democrats had not won, Rumsfeld would still be on board.

Rove and the neocons still cling to the idea that a highly motivated minority can rule America regardless of what the majority wants.

I think you got a good hit on the nail here, I also believe Rummy would have been out a few weeks or months ago if Bush wasn't so stubborn. Too bad it took the voice of the people to make it loud enough for him to hear.
