Mr. Limbaugh is right and Mr. Lofton is wrong.

Furthermore, anyone who listens to Mr. Limbaugh for any length of time will conclude that he does indeed start from a Christian worldview.

I do not know where Mr. Limbaugh is spiritually, but I can detect the worldview which undergirds his political views.

His Christian worldview is a coincidence since he claims that he is not a Christian.

    What worldview undergirds his lifestyle?

I was not aware that Mr. Limbaugh claimed not to be a Christian. Could you provide your source for that?

I think what I was trying to say is that our entire country is founded upon the Judeo-Christian ethic. Mr. Limbaugh in his public statements aligns himself with that ethic.

One may hold to a world view that has a Christian foundation without being a confessing Christian.

As a sinner saved by grace, I confess that I have often acted contrary to what the Bible teaches, which I believe to be true and authoritative. Many times my life choices have undermined my word view. That's why I am thankful for for God's grace to me, the undeserving.

There was a time when I was a fan. That's when I heard the statement from him during one of his shows. Sorry, I am not able to provide that for you.

So, in other words, your spiritual condition really doesn't matter, as long as you hold a Christian worldview (whatever that is)?

    Jack Matthews said
    It matters, with eternal consequences.

I still contend that it is possible to hold to correct doctrine, Biblically-based ethics and morals and fail to live up to them. In fact, we believers do it all the time.

I have not attempted to make a case that Mr. Limbaugh is a believer. My contention is that he was unfairly characterized in Mr. Lofton's article.

I am confused as to how a Christian worldview can have nothing to do with Christ.

The more we point to things that are not of Christ and say they have are, the more we confuse the world as to who Christ is.

If you figure it out, let me know.
It seems a lot of "Christians" thin you can.

There are many good moral people who have a "Christian" worldview but are in fact not Christians and on their way to hell. Some put their trust in religion or in their own good works. I would say that most believe their good works outweigh the bad and by that assumption hope for eternal life.

Deism, doing right for conscience sake, teaching morality without authority. What Limbaugh does is the same thing Dr. Dobson and Bill Gothard do in secular society which is Christian values with no Christian authority. Don't steal because it is not right, and not, don't steal because the bible and God say it is wrong. Though Dr Dobson and bill Gothard hold personally to Christian ethic in order to get within the frame work of the government they seek to change they must drop God from their equation for morality. Chivalry is replacing righteousness.

What Rush does not claim to be in "Catholic". He systematically refuses to reveal anything about what he personally believes about spiritual things. However, if I listen to him it is for politics, not for spiritual issues.

Interesting thing though, Ive read his brother David's books, and David Limbaugh seems to have a clear understanding and belief in the gospel, from what I can tell. So while Rush may not be a believer, he does seem to have a witness within his family.

Absolutely! It is clearly impossible to have a truly "Christian" worldview while denying the sovereignty of God.
If God is not sovereign, then your worldview is not Christian. Simple as that.

Personally, I enjoy listening to Rush, at times, for I appreciate some of his insight, and think I'm about as "conservative" (actually, a misnomer) as he tries to appear. :applause:

In fact, I'd offer that usually, I think he is a real wise guy.
