The ‘Russian Collusion’ Trial Is On, And Mueller May Be The First Casualty

Lawyers for Russian company Concord Management and Consulting, LLC, formally entered a “not guilty” plea in federal court Monday in a case special counsel Robert Mueller probably never thought would happen.

Mueller generated headlines with the February indictment, safe in the knowledge the 13 Russians were beyond U.S. jurisdiction. Therefore, there would be no trial — only sensational Russian collusion accusations.

Mueller may now have to try the case, and Concord’s lawyers have put the special counsel on notice. The Russian company’s lawyers intend to invoke “discovery” to obtain U.S. intelligence about what they knew of Russian activities.

Mueller prosecutors said in a filing last week that Russia’s prosecutor general has declined to accept summonses for the defendants, and the Russian government has taken no steps under a mutual legal assistance treaty to serve them.

There is no reason for Russia's Prosecutor to accept summonses. The Defendants are represented by Counsel who are, by law, able to accept those summonses on behalf of their clients.

A summonses is a demand by the court for an individual to appear before the court. Try your approach if you're ever summoned to a court. There will be a warrant out for your arrest. Good luck.

You seem to have missed the point. An attorney can accept service on behalf of his client. The attorney informs the client he has accepted service on his behalf. The person is then required to perform whatever the summons indicated. There will be no issue until the person is required to be in court. That has not yet happened. At this stage the attorneys are filing writs of discovery so they know what evidence the prosecution has, and can prepare for trial. The prosecution is balking at honoring those writs of discovery. When they have made their evidence public via the discovery process we the people will know the entire prosecution is fake. There is no evidence.

This means nothing unless the defendants show-up in court.

This is going to be a big problem for Mueller's gang of thugs.

Or unless the world ends. Or unless Russia becomes our 51st state. Or unless . . . "

Being in court to answer the charges is still a year or two down the road. Let's see the discovery first.

Mueller won't produce anything. If he does, it will be redacted, worthless garbage.

"Proof" is a mathematical concept that has no use in law. The evidence is that they have not provided the documents required by the discovery motion and are fighting the motion itself.
Innocent until proven guilty. Does that ring a bell?
