Satan

If Satan is tempting a person, can he also be tempting another person, or other persons, at the same time? Is Satan omnipresent? Preachers I've heard seem to believe he is. I do not. But if he can tempt more than one person or influence the thoughts or actions of multiple people at the same time, how can he do this if he is not omnipresent?

Often it is not Satan or demons who are tempting. We are tempted by our own sinful lust. Consider what James to say:

James 1:13-15 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death. (emphasis mine)

Satan and the demons are real but so is our own sinful proclivities.

If Satan is tempting a person

Satan can't touch a one of God's lambs unless he's allowed. Also Satan's sphere of influence appears to be mostly within the religious realm.

Dirty little secret, 'the devil made me do it' is not true. We are perfectly capable of sinning on our own without Satan's influence:

18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me, but to do that which is good is not. Ro 7

All of God's Saints are capable of doing everything we're told not to do in The Book, on our own, Satan's assist not required.

In 1 Peter 5:8-9...

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith"

...and that's the Apostle to the Jews addressing Jewish believers at a critical time when Satan was persecuting them, by the hand of their Jewish brothers, forever tempting them to fall away back to the apostate religion they came out from, for which there would be no repentance. Hebrews 6:4-6; Hebrews 10:26-31

I heard a preacher address this. He said.

“Satan is not omnipresent, but he’s really fast. He’s not omniscient, but he’s really smart. He’s not omnipotent, but he’s really strong. The good news is, he’s already defeated and can do nothing unless God allows him. All you need to do is trust God.”

peace to you.

1 Corinthians 13

2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

A person can be omnipotent and omniscient even call himself God. If there is no love it is evil.

Theres plenty of folks who are under mere terrorism of power. A gun to their head type loyalty.

Put on full armor of God, and stand firm in jesus and His word, but problem is many fail to use armor, or misunderstand the word!

Through his immaterial messengers.
Satan is not omnipresent, we do not know the vastness of messengers that rebelled but they would have to be alot to cover so much ground. But also one who is enslaved, has no need of a demon to tempt them into sin in order to concieve.when the demons are locked away for the 1k reign of Jesus, there will still be mortals born from the mortal righteous of whom will still sin without the temptation of demons.
