Satan's Authority

[Mat 4:8-9 KJV] 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

In order for Satan to offer Jesus "all the kingdom's of the world", Satan had to have ownership. Nothing in scripture rescinds this fact.

Note: The KJV translates Strong's G932: a kingdom, the territory subject to the rule of a king

Satan uses arrogance he instilled in falling man to cause confusion and mayhem throughout the human race.

One of the results is humans setting up kingdoms (nations) and calling them Christian nations.

All a lie of Satan.

@Wesley Briggman :

In reference to Satan's authority, I see him having exactly as much "rope" as the Lord gives him ( see the book of Job ).
No creation of God has any more than that which is delegated to them by the Lord.

But, for Lucifer to have been able to tempt Christ with what he did, I also see that he had to have actually had it...
For example, I notice, in the passages in question ( Matthew 4, Luke 4 ) that the Lord Jesus did not rebuke him for claiming to have control over the world's kingdoms...
In addition, Scripture does call Satan the god of this world ( 2 Corinthians 4:4 ), the prince of this world ( John 12:31 ), references Satan's power in Acts of the Apostles 26:18, and tells us that he is the believer's adversary ( 1 Peter 5:8 ) and accuser ( Zechariah 3:1, Revelation 12:10 ).

As for Christian nations,
I do not see anywhere the Scriptures teaching that there are entire Christian nations;
For example, the United States of America, Great Britain and anywhere else ( such as European nations after the fall of the Roman Empire ) are not and were not ever Christian, in that the majority of the people in them are or were ever born again.

For a nation to be truly Christian, it must consist, not of a majority of those who profess Christ as Saviour, but in a majority of people who possess Christ as Saviour.
Since there will only ever be a remnant in each nation ( Matthew 7:14, Revelation 5:9, Revelation 7:9 ) over the course of its history, then no country, tribe, tongue, etc will ever have a majority representation in the Kingdom of God, IMO.

Just as their are professing "Christians" in the earthly body of Christ, there are professing "Christians" in many nations...
They are known as "tares" ( Matthew 13 ).:(

But they were never part of the Spiritual body of Christ.

Revelation 11:15

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

This seems crystal clear as to when Satan is dethroned.
