How about Dan Patrick and Brett HumeI read the entire article and I saw one person, Glenn Beck, advocate that older people go back to work. One person.
One person is not a rallying cry.
How about Dan Patrick and Brett Hume
I hope your right! It’s a shocking account if true. What about them? Here's what they said:
“Let’s get back to living, let's be smart about it, and those of us who are 70-plus, we'll take care of ourselves,” Patrick said.
Fox News anchor Brit Hume later called the theory “an entirely reasonable viewpoint.”
Seventy year olds (and 70+) typically are retired and do not work. "Let's get back to living" I take to mean let's stop shuttering in our houses and take sensible precautions. In no way can I construe him to mean, "let's get everyone over 70 to go back to work."
Brit Hume is being quoted as saying he agrees with Dan Patrick. I don't see any rallying cry for older people to go back to work.
I hope your right! It’s a shocking account if true.
Just enough to scare you....thought Politico was a conservative vehicle but thinking isn’t knowing. It's obviously untrue. Just read the article.
This is what Fake News is and does. They have a provocative headline that gets you to click to the article. You read maybe half the article and move elsewhere. The headline sticks in your mind--"Conservatives want older people to go back to work and get the virus and die." That was never stated in the article, however.
For a long time Boomers were criticized for working longer and not giving younger Americans opportunities. ALL workers who have been laid off should be returned to work before anything like this is considered.
