Not really - they did cut 100 out of 1400 jobs and "defunded" the police by less than one percent but they were going to slash Chief Best's salary so she hightailed it out of there:

The council reviewed a final set of amendments Monday before the vote, which included reducing the police department by up to 100 officers through layoffs and attrition as well as cutting the $285,000 annual salary of the Police Chief Carmen Best and other top officers. the police also aren't going to dismantle any more of the homeless camps that line the streets everywhere. More urban decay coming up.

Hard to blame her. How much money is enough, when your government throws you under the bus. I really don't know how those officers are hanging in there.

If you listen to these council members, you will immediately recognize how radically socialist-marxist they are. There is one extreme member and her people did re-elect her recently, so they are getting what they voted for. Votes have consequences as does not voting. Some people win on the slimmest of margins like less than 10 votes. If you really cared, you would make sure to get out there and vote.
