He may well be right. But as I read the article Ross wasn't crowing about an American Victory. His reply was in response to a direct question on the effects of the Virus on Chinese industry and what effect it could have on American Businesses. The bulk of Ross's answer was toward businesses being aware of risks to the supply chain.

It appears that Forbes took the most provocative statement and made it their headline. That type of journalism is very common as is the "Leading Question" where the interviewer tells the subject what he is expected to say. The response of the folks to Aaron Rupar's Tweet makes it clear few even listened to Ross's answer to the Fox interviewer.
