Does the SDA church actually teach you how to avoid answering direct questions? Here it is once more....

Question for SDA's...Does one "need" to keep the commandments in order to receive salvation? Yes or No will do, no rabbit trails please!

God Bless!

Clue!!!!!!!!!!! YES or NO!!!!! It won't take you 30 seconds to give an answer!

clue - do you still reject Eph 2:8 as the answer???????

Are you finding it too confusing?

HP: That in all fairness is a mute question. God calls on all men to REPENT and to turn from their selfishness in repentance and faith at salvation.

Am i talking with a bunch of politicians or what? Is this a "yes"?

God Bless!

Steaver: Q1, Yes, God quickens your spirit and gives you a new life(saved), THEN you truly love God.

Q2, No, however it does come naturally from the regeneration. Some quickly and some slowly.

Q3, Love thy neighbor as thyself.

See, it isn't hard to answer "yes" or "no"!

HP: So it is really not you that is to love God, but God that loves God and that love is forced upon you apart from your will, right?

You have to understand regeneration. One cannot love God apart from regeneration. Spirit living with spirit produces true love towards God.

Can you tell me why "yes" or "no" is too difficult to answer Bob?

God Bless!

I gave you Eph 2:8 as the answer for the basis of salvation - you pretend that it is too confusing and that you can not tell if it addresses your question - basically you are admitting that you are not being serious here.

I find that the far more significant point.

Actually you and Claudia has made my point. You guy's failure to answer yes or no has supported the points I have made concerning the SDA's religion. I never expected an answer from you guys! ...I know you too well.

God Bless!

Steaver: You mean don't put you on the spot!

HP: You have put no one on the spot. I have NEVER met a SDA that believes you must first keep the commandmments to be saved. If you have, show me one. They believe, as I understand them, that we are saved by the fulfilling of the conditions of repentance and faith just as Scripture states we are. You are trying to build a case by first creating a paper duck and then trying to command them to jump inside of it so you can shoot at them. That is intellectual dishonesty my friend.

"intellectual dishonesty ", i am not smart enough to even no what that one means:tear: .

It was a simple question, you asked me questions and I answered them yes and no. It isn't that difficult and nobody said they cannot elaborate on the yes or no but my, my what is really so tough!!.

God Bless!

steaver,

frankly, that is retarded

Claudia, you know I love you and Bob, I sure have spoken enough with you both. But face it, you guys have a tough time answering very pointed questions.

God Bless!

HP: Oh Lord, my brothers and sisters in the Lord are confused on differing issues. You know in your wisdom that I am confused on some issues as well. Please Lord forgive them for their confusion and have mercy upon mine! Amen.

God Bless! :sleeping_2:

I answered you. some questions just cannot be answered as yes or no, because God knows the heart. Its that simple. People are at different points of conviction. I already said God expects us to live up to the light we have.

Its like this:
Mk:4:28: For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.

the light shines upon different people at differing rates of speed.

so how can I answer yes or no to your question? I answered it as close to yes or no as possible. or at least as possible as I think it could be answered.

to accuse me of dishonesty is just not right... and to accuse me of trying to avoid your question is just not right.

The part of 1Tim 4 that you strategically omit is the part that says that it must be sanctified - approved by the SCRIPTURES.

How instructive.

In Christ,

Bob
Instructive indeed!! You insert your definition of "sanctified" in this verse. Where did that come from?--the SDA dictionary?
Sanctified means set apart

1 Timothy 4:4-5 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

It is set apart by the Word of God and by prayer. It is not "approved by Bob Ryans version of the Scriptures." Where do you get that from? It does not mean approved by Scriptures at all.
It is set apart by the Scriptures. God has already sanctifed the food; we need only to give thanks for it--pig, dogs, cats, and otherwise.
