IMO, the Church falters for many reasons.
The fact we accept remarriage after a non biblical divorce weighs huge in the reasons.
Divorced man Joe and divorced woman Becky, neither one from a biblically permitted divorce, get remarried and church accepts them.
Church just lost its credibility to deal with sexual sin.
