Amen! I only wish that others could see that. Without grace, our works are as filthy rags. I have an acquaintance who is a practicing atheist, and he does many more "good" works than most saved people that I know.

Now, onto Mel Miller.

Let me start by saying that I honestly hope that you accidentally twist and distort what people are saying, instead of doing it intentionally, but you do it so consistently that I have my doubts. Even so, I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. But, let's deal with a few of these issues.

judgment" by asking "how it can refer to a future judgment"!

I have never switched anything of the sort. I have always stated that it's a future judgment. I challenge you to show everyone here where I have said anything different. (After all, we all make typos, and I'm willing to eat crow if you can show it.)

I can only hope that others who are reading this thread can see the distortions that you are making.

You have no basis for claiming "goats and sheep in Matt.25 are told to inherit the Kingdom

Once again, I challenge you to show where I have ever stated that goats and sheep are told to inherit the Kingdom. In fact, I've stated specifically on many different occasions that it's the sheep who inherit the Kingdom.

Once again, I can only hope and pray that no one else if fooled by the distortions that you are making about what I have said. Show it.

In #147, I asked what you mean by "spiritual salvation that may not include inheritance in the Kingdom" after you had admitted in #142 that it does include
inheritance in the Kingdom!

Once again, I challenge you to show me where I have stated that everyone who is spiritually saved will inherit the Kingdom.

In #152, J. Jump claims eternal life is "not an inheritance that we wait for". He needs to read I Peter 1:4:

"God has begotten us unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead to an INHERITANCE incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you and me. And we are KEPT by the power of God through faith unto SALVATION ready to be revealed in the last time"!!

I certainly hope that you don't simply hope that you are saved. I know that I am, and you can too. All you have to do is read the Bible.

What must I do to be saved? Believe (punctiliar) on the Lord Jesus (plus nothing else) and you will (not may) be saved.

I really don't understand why you would make distortions about what I have said. I challenge you to show where I have made the above statements that you claim that I have made. It is always possible that I have made a typo, and I am always willing to eat crow.

But, I think you're simply making things up to suit your purposes, or simply because you are blinded.

That cannot be true of members of the Bride of the Lamb because only those who are "overcomers will inherit the New Jerusalem". Those who "inherit the Kingdom on earth will have the right to enter the New Jerusalem to be "healed of the leaves of the Tree of Life" since their names also are in the Lamb's Book of Life. Rev.21:7,27; Rev.22:2,14.

The warning of Matt.7:21 is only for those who say "Lord, Lord" but are not saved to begin with. "God has begotten us (all believers) unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead to an INHERITANCE incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you and me. And we are KEPT by the power of God through faith unto SALVATION ready to be revealed in the last time"!!

So, contrary to your belief that we may be saved but lose our inheritance, we all must only wait to inherit our completed salvation. "The angels minister to us who are being about (mellontas; present active participle) to inherit salvation"! Again, I urge you, believe it and bow in praise before our God. Heb.1:14. :thumbsup:

And there have been many, many passages posted to show this point. It goes contrary to what many people have been taught, so they "don't care what the words say, they just can't be true".

That cannot be true of members of the Bride of the Lamb because only those who are "overcomers will inherit the New Jerusalem".

So, you have to be an overcomer to be saved? That's a salvation by works! Overcomers will be members of the Bride, yes, but not all who are saved will be overcomers. Look at those around you who are saved an simply living life any way they choose.

And it has been shown repeatedly, using Scripture that this is referring to saved people. Unless you think that unsaved people are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, or unless you just simply don't believe what the Scriptures have to say.

1 Corinthians 12:3: Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.

1 Peter is written to the elect. That's who is concerned with an inheritance. It's talking about a hope. Do you only hope that you are saved? I know that I am, because the Scriptures tell me so. If you only hope that you are saved, I can show you where the Scriptures will straighten that out for you.

It's not simply my belief, brother, it's been shown to you in the Scriptures. You may choose to deny it, but that's up to you.

Jacob and Esau were both members of the family, yet their inheritance was different.

Even Ishmael had an inheritance, but was it equal to Isaac's?

Inheritance is a family matter, it's not what puts us into the family.

Again, I urge you, believe it and bow in praise before our God.

I limit the outward "test of overcomers" to the period of "great tribulation" during which all Believers will be "overcomers" ... or to any test today where believers are willingly giving their lives for Christ. All who are unwilling to give their lives for Christ are not "overcomers". Only overcomers will "inherit" the New Jerusalem.

Only God can read your heart and tell whether you are an "overcomer" or just one
who says "Lord, Lord" and harbors a sinful obsession in his heart.

All true Believers are overcomers and will "inherit and inhabit the New Jerusalem". Not a single one of their names will be "taken out of his inheritance" as you claim!

That's odd. That is certainly not what the Bible says. And there are numerous examples in both the OT and the NT.

Adam/Eve - Christ/bride

Adam is a type of Christ. Adam had a bride so we can tell a lot from what happened with his bride as to what will take place for Christ's bride.

Adam had to be put to sleep in order that his bride could be removed from his body. Christ had to die (which is the picture of sleep) so that His bride could be brought forth and it will come out of His body.

Eve was only a part of Adam's body, so will the bride of Christ only be a portion of His body. The church is the body of Christ, so only a portion of believers will make up the bride.

You can see this picture in the story of Isaac and Rebekah. Abraham (picture of God) sent out his servant (picture of the Holy Spirit) back to his family (picture of the church) to procure a bride for his son (picture of Christ).

Now did the servant come back with the entire family as the bride? No. He came back with the member of the family that was willing.

The same thing is true today. The Holy Spirit is in the world looking for a bride for the Son. And only those that are willing are going to make up the bride.

And we can all look around us at Christians that are not willing to die to self and walk in the Spirit. But instead of seeing them the way the Bible sees them we just continue to spout man-made teaching that they are saved in the first place. Sorry that's not what the Bible teaches.

You can see this picture in the story of the Exodus and the promised land. There was an entire generation of people that didn't receive their inheritance because of their disobedience, but they were still saved, because they had appropriated the blood of the lambs.

You can see this picture in the NT all over the place but just look at the wedding feast where the person was kicked out because they didn't have the proper attire. Do we really think that God is going to allow some unsaved folks into heaven and then say get out before the wedding feast? Of course not. There will be no unsaved person in heaven during that time so it must be saved individual, who doesn't become part of the bride.

There are a number passages, but surely we can see the Truth in just these few.

Your only reference to NT teaching concerns those who will be invited as guests
to the Lamb's wedding supper. You give no NT reference of Bride-Members who lose their inheritance. I again refer to I Peter 1:4 to disprove your fallacious theory.

The reference to "guests" concerns those who "beg to escape God's wrath when Christ appears and they prevail to stand before the Son of Man and will be kept alive" as Jesus promised. There may be two billion. Luke 21:36; Luke 17:33.

These "guests" are the progenitors during the Millennium of the natural descendants of Abraham through a remnant of a third of the Jews who survive and a 50-50 ratio of Ishmael's 12 Tribes plus other Gentiles (Zech.8:23 and "one taken and one left" of every Twosome in Luke 17:30-37) who will "inherit the earthly Kingdom" at the End of the Millennium. Matt.25:32-34; Rev.21:24-26.

I have no stomach for your teaching of a God who would not "KEEP every one of His own UNTO SALVATION and to the INHERITANCE" He has promised to
every believer ... NOT ONE OF WHOM JESUS WILL LOSE. John 6:39.

The only thing you might "lose" is your rewards because, if you are an "overcomer", you are required to confess your sins and be forgiven.

You deny too many Scriptues for me to even consider any further discussion!! :wavey:
