Shorter severs ties with GBC

    As a Southern Baptist who married a Shorter girl and who has a sister who graduated from Shorter, I applaud the action which officially ends the GBC connection. To give lip service and continue the connection which was absolutely meaningless as early as the 1960's was hypocrisy of the rankest sort.

    Liberalism has been entrenched at Shorter for years along with such permissiveness that would have made most Southern Baptists wince.

    Why do you think I married a Shorter Girl, Joshua? They could stay out later than our Berry girls and were much prettier! (grin)

    I don't mean to be rude, but when I first read the posting in which you said you married a shorter girl, my first response was "aren't most girls sorter than men?". It took me a minute. I think I need to go back to the caffiene thread.
