Should a person give an offering if on public assistance- ie welfare, food stamps, ect.

Also, some years ago, I once read that a person going thur Bankruptcy had those donations reclaimed from the church, by the bankruptcy court to pay off debtors. (several years ago, the House passed a bill that would allow a person to give up to 15% of gross annual income.)

IMHO - I believe a person has an obligation to pay off valid debts first. Especially if a debt is to be discharged due to a bankruptcy.

Open for discussion.

A couple of bucks - sure.

Make it cash so uncle can't grab it back.
