Should Each State Become a Separate Country?

Considering all of the division in the United States, should the U.S. Constitution be dissolved and each of the 50 states become its own separate country?

I wonder how practical it would it be? Could it be done in such a way as to continue free trade and travel among these new countries?

Seems to me that such a division would allow each of the new countries to take care of themselves, paying taxes to only their own country, government spending being only what the people of those countries wanted, and rights granted being only what those countries wanted to allow. That way people could be concerned only with their own country, not what the policies were in other countries.

Thoughts?

Once again we have those who ask questions in order to imply something, and then when called out, claim they did not intend that implication.

Question, how many Americans have died to protect the Union? How many have died to protect freedom, even the freedom of people from other countries?

It is time to stand up for truth.

Who do you think you are to question my integrity in asking an honest question? I didn't imply a anything. I simply asked an honest question. There is absolutely no reason, by any reasonable person, to see it any other way.

I know what I think you are...
A question that implies dishonoring our military dead, in the name of running from standing firm for truth, says volumes.

How did asking a question dishonor dead military personnel? Can you answer that or just engage in further personal attacks?

Question after question, dodge after dodge.

And you still haven't answered my question. If you aren't going to answer my questions but just engage in vicious personal attacks, just shut up, Van. Find some other hobby than going around this board and attacking me personally instead of engaging with the substance of the subject being discussed.

One false charge after another, changing the subject from the thread to me.

America is a Union, and more than 1.3 million Americans have died for the freedom provided by the Union.

Then why not just say you think it's a bad idea? Why engage in personal attacks and falsely call me attacking from the "left" when I am certainly not a "leftist"? I am a minarchist Libertarian.

Not a full separate country, but a full throated return of Jeffersonian Federalism would be extremely beneficial.

For example, Gay folk pretending their married being allowed in 1 state, but not in other states would be good. Then folk move to whatever state they prefer rather than the current Obergefell decision that is rammed down our throats at the Federal level.

With a diminished Federal Government, Federal Presidential elections wouldn't be so contentious.

Why continue to attack me, rather than address the topic? Everyone knows what you are from posts like this one quoted.
Mine eyes have seen the glory... As Christ died to make men holy, let us die to make men free...

I wonder how this would work in practical terms. Suppose a same-sex "married" couple was traveling through a state that did not recognize such a "marriage"(personally, I would like to see the separation of marriage and state if it would work in practical terms) and one of them ends up in the hospital in that state. Would the other person be allowed hospital visitation and to make medical decisions as needed(when my wife was going through her health issues on the way to dying over two years ago, I was being called upon to approve medical procedures quite a bit)?

Christ died to make His elect(chosen before the foundation of the world) holy.

There is nothing in my question that even touches anywhere near the question of someone dying for their political freedom or anyone else's.

Would it be wrong to point out that the Bible teaches freedom is to be preferred over slavery?
