I read a book a month or two ago entitled by Shaun Attwood, "Hard Time: A Brit in America's Toughest Jail", the jail Joe Arpaio was responsible for. Arpaio bragged that it cost him less to feed his prisoners than his dogs. The meat, if you can call it that, was always rotted green. The conditions were horrible and no effort was made to change the insect infected jail. Also, medical treatment was denied until the situation turned into a crisis.

This book should be required reading for every teenage boy. If this book does not scare them straight nothing will.

Cry me a river. A lot of jails feed green tinted meat, its not spoiled. The state prisoners that came to our county farm everyday to work always had sandwiches with green colored meat. They are in jail, not on vacation at The Hilton.

Yes! He was railroaded by the Obama Administration for enforcing the laws he swore to uphold. Sheriff Arpaio is a patriot and an all around good guy.

I think that he deserved a pardon MUCH more than that Manning, the transgengder who shared US secrets, by Obama!
