Should the USA grant refugee status to white South Africans?

South Africa is an economic basket case and the government there is trying to pass a constitutional amendment that they can take away the land of (white) farmers without compensation. Most of the farmers are trapped in a sort of middle class or worse economic condition and they do not have the means to leave South Africa once and for all.

Should the USA grant refugee status to white South Africans, who are facing genocide?

Lauren Southern has produced a documentary called Farmlands released at the end of June of this year and it is available for free for the time being on YouTube:

Only if they pass the refugee criteria. Being victims of virulent systemic racism might be grounds. I don't know.

The farmers say that they are on their own, that they do not get any help from the government for anything. Crime is everywhere. I think that Australia is letting some of them in. Most of them have families that were there in the 19th century. According to Lauren Southern, some have been ruined by drought and have lost everything. Also, the government has made it illegal for a company to have a higher percentage of white workers than the percentage of whites that there are in the country, so many poorer whites are unemployed and sick and living in hobo jungles. The government will not help and probably does not really help anyone. It is like the wild west. AfriForum gives this advice to the farmers:

"It is of utmost importance that all people in rural areas increase their security. Communities are encouraged to become involved with security networks in their area. It is essential to make it as difficult as possible for attackers to gain access to dwellings."

The leftist of the world are in favor of what is happening in South Africa, as it goes the way of Zimbabwe. Is the USA just going to stand aside and do nothing to stop the slaughter of the farmers?

Oh, they got a bunch of Maxine Water types who think that violence will solve their economic problems. The American media is against the farmers so they will hide the murders. Tucker Carlson talked about it:

It is funny that even Russia has grabbed up a lot of these farmers and offered them land to come to them. These are valuable people and the US should recognize them and welcome them with open arms.

We have plenty of farmers in America who are having a hard time partially due to the Trump tariffs. We don't need more farmers. We need cyber-security experts and doctors.

Farmers are doing fine and they support the Trump tariffs, which is surprising since they are Democrats mostly. Farmers would be more important that unskilled labor from Latin America and Muslims who lean towards jihad. We could grow all the food in the world here and then sell it to South Africa.

We need farmers who want to farm instead of collect money for keeping their land fallow.

I don't know one Democrat farmer in my county. They used to be, but they are now die hard Republicans.

I'm in favor of cutting the farm subsidy because the reality is most farming is now controlled by big corporations. My ancestors in KY were small farmers but there aren't many left anymore. Cut out the handout to the big farming corporations? Absolutely.

I see. So you are in favor of a means test, or skill test for immigration. Good to hear.

[edited to add]: At least for white people.

No. I just said we need other kinds of people than farmers in response to someone saying we needed farmers.

Probably the white men are subject to being murdered while the women and children, especially girls, are more likely to being spared. I support our providing refugee for people being killed because of the color of their skin.

I was merely observing that in previous posts you have been in favor of unconditional immigration but now that it involves white people you are OK with qualifications being applied.

I haven't been in favor of unconditional immigration. I'm in favor of those coming to the U.S. seeking asylum being given their rights under U.S. law.
Asylum in the United States

Asylum is a protection granted to foreign nationals already in the United States or at the border who meet the international law definition of a “refugee.” The United Nations 1951 Convention and 1967 Protocol define a refugee as a person who is unable or unwilling to return to his or her home country, and cannot obtain protection in that country, due to past persecution or a well-founded fear of being persecuted in the future “on account of race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion.” Congress incorporated this definition into U.S. immigration law in the Refugee Act of 1980.

As a signatory to the 1967 Protocol, and through U.S. immigration law, the United States has legal obligations to provide protection to those who qualify as refugees. The Refugee Act established two paths to obtain refugee status—either from abroad as a resettled refugee or in the United States as an asylum seeker.

One of the problems with open borders is that we have a flood of cartel members and gang members that take up tons of money and hours of time and we are not able to help deserving people around the world. The Latin American ruling classes deliberately send some of their hardened criminals across our borders as government policy. Also, we have little need for unskilled labor since most of them seem to be in political office anyway and there are only so many political offices. South Africa cannot afford to pay for the land, some of the people owning it have had it in the family since before the USA was a nation. They are going to confiscate the land without compensation or try to pay a couple of pennies on the dollar. They have already withdrawn police protection from the farmers so that they are subject to a high rate of murder. We are watching another Zimbabwe in action. South Africa is a failed state. Trump has spoken out about the murders and the property theft. Australia has allowed some farmers to move their but I think that the USA should take in the poor whites trapped in the cities who are sick and down and out with no expectation of anything but abuse from their racist government. Indianapolis has a lot of cheap, low-paying jobs so we could take some of them here. They do speak some English and they are frequently very devout Christians.

These immigrants commit fewer crimes than the national average for Americans. We don't have open borders. There are order checks in place. But the number of border agents has gone DOWN under Trump relative to Obama and there is a critical need for more immigration judges to hear cases in a timely fashion rather than separating families.
