Oh, so if this was an honestly congenial "shout out" to Mike, Bruce, Dan, Puff, et al, then I apologize for misunderstanding you.

I didn't realize that you were actually reaching out to them in the spirit of bipartisanship.

Yes, you've misunderstood. I wasn't complaining about them expressing their political beliefs.

I wish we had some crybaby emoticons. I know. Not nice. I am not reaching out in the spirit of bi-partusanship, BTW. I don't want to be aligned in any way, bi-partisan or otherwise, with those who are endorsed by Hezbolla, Arafat, and UBL, with those who support Partial Birth Abortions, with those who have spent the past year reaching out in the spirit of bi-partisanship I guess by calling the President a liar, by attacking his intelligence, by trying to weaken our country in a time of war. Let me be clear. These people are politically my enemies. I don't want to reach out to them. I want to defeat them politically.

    Wow.........

Gershom gave a "shout out" to, among others, "Baptist Board Bush Bashers." Joseph Botwinick said:
Now this is truly amazing. Joseph wants to be "clear," and has identified fellow Believers (who just happen to differ with him politically) as "politically [his] enemies."

So you would identify a fellow Believer as an enemy? Are you so totally and completely defined by your political beliefs that you would honestly equate a Believer as your "enemy" (politically or otherwise)??

To quote Bruce Springsteen (another one of your "enemies"): "God have mercy on the man who doubts what he's sure of."

Don't worry, Joseph: there really is no need to respond to someone who is "politically [your] enemy." Let's just leave it at that........

Yep. Politically, all of those people are my enemies and I want to defeat their political ideology because I believe it is the wrong ideology. Isaid nothing about anyone's salvation, however. That is between them and God. However, politically, they are my enemies and must be defeated.

Joseph, like I said, there really is no need to respond to your enemy, but thanks anyway for expanding upon your contention that a fellow Believer is an enemy. You really have made that abundantly clear.

Yes. These are my enemies. If these are the people you would like to reach out to in a bi-partisan manner and embrace as your "brothers and sisters in Christ", then be my guest. I, for one, have my doubts about Hezbolla, Arafat, UBL, supporters of PBA, and those who are are trying to weaken our country during a time of war. I consider these people my enemies. They must be defeated.

Do you consider Hezbolla to be fellow believers? Believers in what? Terrorism?

Once more, read my comments posted @ 11:45.
Better yet, read the initial post again, where these enemies were defined.

If I Samuel 2:1 was directed at me, am I also your "enemy," or are you implying that my political differences indicate a lack of salvation?

This is amazing - I must say, those who disagree with political views are now enemies? In that case don't they deserve love rather than attack.

I guess I must be in the "enemy" camp since I did not support the president?

    I am stunned.

In President Bush's acceptance speech he talked about "moving forward together." It seems like we could at least do that here on a Christian board.

I wish everyone had that level of maturity LG - even those who may have supported Kerry are not my enemies.
