Shutting down threads

    What is the basis for shutting down threads? Seems it happens anytime I respond to something that was wrong AND tolerated but me responding was the basis for shutting it down. That is pathetic! Why wasn't the thread shut down when I was called an enemy of God and a friend of the world for liking BASEBALL huh???!!!

    Why don't you gripe and complain about this in private? Why do you have to make a public show out of it?

    Jospeh, exactly my thoughts!

    King James, if you have a problem with this, you need to go to the moderators in private and discuss it with them. Not make a show of it on the board.

    Why not? They make a show of it on the board. They allow someone to condemn me as an enemy of God and don't shut the post down until after I respond to it.

    Is it really "griping" and "complaining"? I don't think so. How would you feel? PastorSBC...yes I have a problem with it. I didn't want to email the moderator because I didn't want to exchange personal emails. I have no desire to exchange personal emails with someone unless I wish to.

    I think too many of you just excuse every little thing until one of the "unpopular" people such as myself call someone out on their ridiculous comment and then the thread gets shut down. Again, that is pathetic!

    And Joseph, why did you have to make a public show out of it? You had nothing of substance to contribute to my post...you only wanted to mock me. You could have just said nothing.

    King James, you are welcome to your thoughts. You do not have to email the moderator, that is why there is the PM (Private Message)feature on the BB.

    It is their board. Don't think you are the only one to be treated badly. Just about everyone on here has been at one tme or another. But, making a public spectacle out of your feel sorry for me pity party is not going to get the desired results. If someone has done something against the rules, hit the report post button at the bottom of the page and deal with it privately, and get over your martyr complex.

    No martyr complex. I've just seen over and over where things said to me were tolerated but when I respond the post has been shut down. If that's the way things are gonna be then maybe you are right. I don't have to comment...but it won't change the fact that it is pathetic!

    Joseph has anyone ever called you a hell bound heretic when you are not? Has anyone ever called you an enemy of God and a friend of the world because you like politics? Or a sport? And if just about everyone on here has been treated badly at one time or another then what does it say for this board???

    PastorSBC, I don't recall seeing the PM feature for the certain individual. I will go back and take a look and if there is one indeed, then I am sorry for taking up bandwidth with this post. the reason I did it is because I don't recall seeing the PM feature.

    Threads like this one are most likely to get shut down the most quickly. This is not a complaint forum it is a debate forum. I will not question Blackbird's deciscion to shut down the thread in question. Perhaps he had a good reason to do so. You yourself (King James) had just posted that the topic had gone astray and were thinking of starting another thread. So what is your problem?
    When people start threads for the simple reason for griping and complaining then they can go somewhere else. I consider this matter closed.
