These two IPs are originating spam - from Denmark:

86.63.101.114

85.112.67.84

Don't know how to find the originating IP?

The originating IP will be listed as a string of numbers on the "Received from" line of the spam email.

I've forwarded the spam emails as attachments to my Internet Provider as they have suggested, but it isn't working.

This has now reached the point of war. Time to call in the Feds!

Your internet provider may have a place to report spam also, especially if they are one of the bigger outfits. They dislike it as well as it takes from them as well as us.

Don't answer, don't unsubscribe or give them any hint that they have a valid address.

What sickens me are the Christian organizations that are doing it now. I will say those that I have reported haven't shown up again

The drug etc. spammers have ways of sending from different ways and it is hard to shut them down, but some are dumb enough to put their websites on their email what a trail for .gov to follow!!!!!!!!

Gmail simply dumps all this rubbish in a spam folder. With 2.5g of storage you can simply ignore it, or delete 50 at a time with two clicks.

If you are getting spam, simply buy an Apple computer, then when you recieve spam, go to a site that offers that latest microsoft viruses, download one and send it back as a return email to the spammer, usually they quit spamming you when there computers have to be put in the shop for repairs!!!

I use mailwasher on my "main" account, and only the "chosen few" get that address to start with

I've got 6 or 7 gmail accounts for different things, plus yahoo and a couple of others.

One of my web-based accounts was attracting more and more spam for some reason, so I just filled up the inbox with HUGE image files, and now every message that gets sent there gets bounced back


...and Ben, given the choice between spam and an Apple...

For my business, I've used Intelligent Message Filtering for Exchange Server 2003.

Also, if you have Outlook 2003, they have a pretty good junk e-mail screening mechanism that puts that in a "junk mail" folder.

Between those two things, I don't have to worry about inbox clutter.

I use BoxTrapper Spam Trap for certain accounts.

Basically it's a completely automatic whitelist system. First, the server checks if my incoming mail is from a sender on my whitelist. If it is, the email is allowed through. If not, the server verifies that you are a human by sending you a verification email. You reply to the email and are automatically added to my whitelist. Spammers don't reply to verification emails since they email in bulk. So I have a nice fresh email inbox with only actual humans allowed to email me.

If the person doesn't get verified, but I want to read the email, the server caches un-verified emails so I can still read them, but it doesn't put them in my inbox.

Perfect solution for me, and it isn't much to ask of my friends and family since they only have to be verified once if I forget to add them to my whitelist.
