SID Sermon and Illustrations Database

    I know how much e-sword is loved... I think I stumbled onto a website for sermons and illustrations that will be just as valuable.

    SID

    I just downloaded over 19,000 sermons and over 29,000 illustrations..

    It is a database that is freeware, just like e-sword.

    I may not be around BB for a few days... I have a new toy to play with.:thumbs: :godisgood:

    What, you trying to be a preacher or something? You trying to find, "The Sermon from the Rooftop?"

    Have you firgured out how to read the messages? All I see is a huge list of sermons.

    That's over 19,000!

    And about 1/3 of the way down on the page it has SID setup.exe

    Click on that and download the program onto your computer.
    Then you have to import the sermons from the website into the program.

    After I had the SID program on my computer.
    I went back to the site.
    Clicked on the set of sermons or illustrations I wanted.
    You have the choice to open them or save them
    I saved them to my desktop.
    Then Opened SID. Using the import function, I imported them from my desktop into SID.
    Then deleted the icon on the desktop.

    After you get them into SID, you can "Run Search" and it will bring up all of them.
    Or you can search by topic, preacher, texts, etc.

    If that's when they carry the guy onto the roof that is stange, a preacher preached that today at the ministers aliance. His subject, I'll tear up the roof to get to Jesus.
